ADLER 70: A BIG HYBRID VERY EFFICIENT BOAT

Adler has launched the new Adler 70, a creation by Nuvolari-Lenard Studio that designers define ” a heap of innovations”: from hull design to propulsion system and interiors layout.

The new Adler 70 is provided with a very efficient hybrid propulsion system, whose perfromances have been tested both during the planning phase and the construction one, through CFD simulation techniques (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and a scale model at the Towing Test Institute in Vienna. The hull, with a floating length of 19.79 metres and a width of 6.20 metres, reaches a long-distance speed of about 10 knots, a cheap cruising speed of 14 knots with a fuel consumption of 50 litres/hour and a maximum speed of 30 knots. These numbers have been confirmed by several sea triasl in Trieste.

The propulsion system planned by Adler allows the use of diesel, electric or hybrid engines: the boat is provided with some litium batteries which guarantee an hour of autonomy without diesel engines and with a maximum speed of 10 knots (a good solution for all manoeuvres in the harbour)

Nuvolari-Lenard Studio has brought some innovations even in the interiors concept, which has been described as “Mediterranean convertible”: the idea is to make the inner hall and the external cockpit a unique comfortable body, ideal for relax, meals and entertainment. Interiors can have three or four cabins (for guests/shipowners), a crew cabin and a very large service cabin: the 76 feet of length are really well-exploited to give the best comfort.

The first Adler 70 will be delivered next June.
