Aquila accelerates in sailing with eight new dealers

After the recent debut of its first sailing catamaran – the Aquila 50 Sail – Aquila Catamarans is expanding its commercial network with eight new dealers dedicated to the Sail segment, joining more than 100 dealers already active worldwide. This is a clear sign of the shipyard’s intention to strongly position itself in a new market that remains consistent with its experience.

Specifically, the commercialization of sailing catamarans in the United States will be entrusted to The Catamaran Company, a company specialized in the sailing market that offers comprehensive services ranging from yacht sales to management and maintenance. In the Asia-Pacific region, Whitehaven will represent Aquila in Australia and New Zealand, with the 50 Sail set to make its national debut at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (May 21–24).

Primus Marine will cover Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia, markets where the entire Aquila range is already attracting interest.

Aquila’s presence in Europe is also strengthening further: Barcando will be the exclusive sailing dealer for Italy, while Corsica Multicoques will serve as Aquila’s distributor for Corsica.

In Greece, representation will be entrusted to Athenian Yachts, covering the main cruising areas such as the Ionian Sea, the Cyclades, the Saronic Gulf, the Sporades and the Dodecanese.

Perfect Boat will operate in Bulgaria for both the power and sailing ranges, while Estupenda Náutica, already a dealer for motor catamarans, will extend its mandate to the Sail line in Spain and Portugal.

Aquila 50 Sail and the expansion of the range

The undisputed star of this new growth phase for the shipyard is the brand-new Aquila 50 Sail, the brand’s first sailing model, presented at the recent edition of the Miami International Boat Show and expected in Europe at the International Multihull Show in La Grande Motte from April 22 to 26. The Sail range will expand further with the 44 Sail, scheduled to launch next autumn, and the flagship 65 Sail, expected in the autumn of the following year.

Developed in collaboration with the J&J Design studio, the Aquila 50 Sail focuses on generous spaces, functionality and cruising comfort while maintaining high quality standards. The project enhances both form and function, with highly innovative solutions such as the flybridge-to-bow connecting staircase that facilitates movement on board, and clean lines with a contemporary feel. The interiors offer four-, five- or six-cabin configurations, distributed between the two hulls, with ample storage volumes and more than generous headroom. Each cabin features an independent entrance and an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower, ensuring privacy and livability.

The launch of the new sailing range is seeing growing success and we are pleased to make the 50 Sail accessible to an increasing number of owners through the new dealers – said Nick Harvey, Chief Revenue Officer of Aquila Catamarans – They are experienced professionals and the ideal representatives for the 50 Sail and for the entire Aquila Sail range. We are proud of this new chapter and of the positive reception given to the 50 Sail: we look forward to more and more sailors experiencing the innovation, design and comfort that define Aquila.”

With this new dealer network and a progressively expanding range, Aquila is therefore consolidating its entry into the sailing catamaran market, transferring into this new segment the design and construction expertise that has already made it successful in the world of power multihulls.
