ITALIAN AZIMUT-BENETTI GROUP IS THE WORLD’S LEADING YACHT MANUFACTURER

Italy is the world’s boating leader thanks to the Azimut-Benetti group which confirms its leading role in the worldwide production of high-end yachts according to the Global Order Book 2007, the ranking of the most important boat manufacturers in the world, published by the American  “ShowBoats International” magazine.

The Global Order Book is a prestigious and precise source which accurately reports the trend of the sector every year and makes available the data about the real orders, including yachts from 80 feet on.

In particular, with an amazing 2,594-metre yacht under construction and 65 new upcoming projects, the Italian yard confirms its leadership based on a large range – the most complete in the world – including boats of over 100 m built at Benetti’s yards in Livorno.

The strength of the Azimut Benetti Group, which closed the year 2014‐2015 with a production value of over 700 million euros, lies in its ongoing investments in product development, serving as standard‐bearer for Italian
quality and nautical excellence worldwide.

What the yard is working on is an extraordinary launch plan which envisages 12 new models from 10 up to 50 m in the next three years, in addition to the other 14 models already launched in the last 3-year period. This way, Azimut and Benetti’s customers benefit from the largest and youngest fleet never offered in the world.

The 73-metre B240 of the new Benetti Now series

This strategy is the result of an ongoing innovative and design excitement: the collaboration with Giorgio M. Cassetta, who signs the exterior design ot Mediterraneo 116′, and the exclusive collaboration with the architect Achille Salvagni, interior designer of the entire collection of fly yachts beyond 50′ and Benetti Class line.

A sort of excitement which also involves the working methods of the group. Suffice to say that the group has launched the innovative Benetti Now working method during the Monaco Yacht Show 2016. Conceived by the yard in collaboration with the architect Stefano Natucci and the designers of the British Redman Whiteley Dixon Studio, Benetti Now will ensure to customers exclusive custom-made yachts with shorter delivery times. How? By producing superyachts on pre-conceived platforms which combine the advantages of haute couture – the greatest customization of interiors- with the times of a series production.

The superyachts of the new Benetti Now line will all be longer than 50 m, built in steel and aluminium in the yard of Livorno. They will be called B164 (50 m), B192 (58.6 m), B214 (65 m) and B240 (73 ).
