NEW AZIMUT VERVE 40 AT FLIBS

Finally we saw and tested her. Along the quays of Flibs, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, we had te opportunity to go on one among the most awaited boats of the season, the “small” Azimut Verve 40. She’s a very interesting boat because she combines all the traditional features of American day cruisers with elegant Italian style. The boat marks the entrance of Azimut Yachts in the segment of American sport walkaround vessels but with the introduction of an elegant style and more spacious spaces “downstairs”.

In the deck, the cockpit offers a very comfortable living zone, equipped with a L-shaped sofa which can be converted into a C-shaped one through some Harken supports, an electrically-storable lunch table, which allow to transform the whole area into a generous astern sunbathing platform, a bar console, a large fridge, an icemaker, a double BBQ and an optional wine cellar. On the bow, in addition to a traditional sunbathing area for two people equipped with two retractable backrests, there are some small sofas hiding, below their seats, great lockers. Finally, on the astern left bulwark, part of the wale opens and converts into a comfortable teak bathing platform provided with an embedded stepladder.

The steering console has a modern design taken from the automobile world; all equipment is digital with no analogic panels or buttons. The three seats are extremely comfortable and they ensure the greatest safety even at high speed. A ceiling hatch integrated into the hardtop can be opened for an adeguate ventilation while sailing. Finally, an electric bimini, installed inside the hard top, provides the cockpit with shadow. The Lower Deck is one among the most interesting areas on this new model. The yard managed to increase spaces, making Verve 40 a real weekender: there’s a central dinette with a lunch area and a kitchen, a spacious fore cabin and a bathroom. If necessary, the dinette can be even converted into an additional bed. Verve 40 has a V-shaped bottom with variable geometry, an astern 15-degree-deadrise and she’s pushed by three Mercury Verado 350 HP engines for a 44-knot-top speed and a 37-knot-cruising one.
