Back to multihulls, Grande Motte will host the Salon International du Multicoque, the most important boat show exclusively dedicated to multihulls in Europe, from April 13th to 17th. Such an event could only be in France, the birthplace of these boats and the most important shipbuilders in the world – Bali, Catana, Fountaine Pajot, Lagoon, Outremer, Privilge – with 65% of worldwide production.
On the dock, sailing and motor, cruise and sporting, big and small catamarans and trimarans. In total, they will be about 60 from 20 to 100 feet. On the land, 2,500 square metres will host a rich exhibition of accessories, sails and designers…. So, in one fell swoop, you can dive in the two-or-more-hull world!
Among the news in the sailing world, Fountaine Pajot Lucia 40, Lagoon 42, Privilege 6 and 7, Nautitech Open 46, Xquisite 5, Outermer 4X (the sport version of Outermer 45) and TS 42, planned for people with reduced mobility. As regards motor boats, we recommend Leopard 43Pc and Ceclo, which is a sort of pedal-assisted electric island, ideal for a sea picnic.
Last but not least, a small pearl: in front of the harbour captain’s office will be moored Francois Bich’s catamaran with its 45-metre-high mast. It’s the ex-Orange 2 owned by Bruno Peyron, the winner of Trophée Jules Verne in 2005 (the no-stop world tour in 50 days and 16 hours)
