Boot Düsseldorf 2021 Cancelled. Now to Run in January 2022

Originally postponed to April, boot Dusseldorf has now been called off for 2022

Boot Düsseldorf 2021 doesn’t have to be done. All postponed to next year, when, we hope, the pandemic will be over or at least it will have loosened its grip. For now, it is not possible: Covid has started to advance also in Germany, for this reason the Messe Düsseldorf, supporter of the exhibition, has decided postpone the event, thus failing to promise to hold the boat show from April 17-25.

Yes, because if on the one hand respecting the original dates of the show, which would start tomorrow, was considered an almost remote possibility, given the second wave of Coronavirus that was overwhelming all of Europe during last autumn, on the other the postponement to spring didn’t seem like a gamble.

In the meantime, however, the number of infections has risen again, hence the painful and final decision of the organizers to cut the head off by moving the event directly to January 22-30, 2022.

” The continuing high level of infection and the fact that the end of the lockdown is not foreseeable for the time being make a resumption of trade fair operations at the end of April appear increasingly unrealistic- said Wolfram N. Diener, CEO of Messe Düsseldorf –We have reassessed the situation with our partners and jointly decided to cancel boot 2021 early. Our priority is the health and planning security of our exhibitors, visitors and service providers. All activities will now be focused on the successful staging of boot 2022.”

The aim is to return to the concept of the world’s largest indoor boat show both as an event for all water sports enthusiasts and as a business and networking platform for the international trade audience.

Furthermore, for 2022, work is also underway on a hybrid trade fair experience that will, among other things, enable digital participation in seminars and events at boot Düsseldorf.

In short, Boot Düsseldorf is updated edition after edition, keeping up with the technological times. Virtual times and methods that have undergone a sudden acceleration especially last year for the reasons already widely mentioned.

See you in exactly 12 months. Covid permitting.
