Cannes Yachting Festival 2018 : motor novelties

Celebrating its 41th edition, Cannes Yachting Festival announces the participation of 600 boats this year, including 500 motorboats from 2 to 65 meters in length and 100 sailboats from 10 to 32 meters. The 2018 edition will be held from 10th to 16th September and, as regards the world of motorboats, the following are the world premières which are scheduled to be exhibited.

The heir of the Navetta 73, Absolute Navetta 48the winner of the World Yachts Trophies of the last edition, the Navetta 48 by Absolute Yachts will join this edition after having already welcomed the audience’s support at the last Boot Düsseldorf, when the first renderings of the boat were unveiled.

The world première presented by the Italian shipyard is also the smallest member in the successful Absolute’s Navetta family.

Boasting extraordinary comfort, the boat is highly attractive and shows off modern graceful lines. Particularly innovative is the interior design, with three double cabins, two bathrooms and an additional cabin reserved for crew members. Equally noteworthy is the flybridge that, thanks to the central position of the coachroof, offers new prospects for use in addition to an over-sized sun pad.

Ferretti Yachts 670Ferretti Group will return in the glittering French bay with 25 yachts and five premières broken down by brand. All five novelties are yacht with a length of over 20 meters.

Firs of all, the Ferretti Yachts 670 is a 67-footer designed in co-operation with architect Filippo Salvetti which stands out for a 25-square-meter flybridge and an exclusive forward relaxation area.

The Custom Line 120′ is the new flagship of the planing models in the Ferretti’s Custom line. Designed by Francesco Paszkowski, this 38-meter boat is fitted with twin MTU engines which deliver a top speed of 25 knots.

For a quieter navigation, instead, Ferretti Custom LineFerretti presents the Custom Line Navetta 52. Designed by Studio Zaccon, this peaceful 42-meter trawler is completely custom and, equipped with four decks, can accommodate 10 guests in different VIP cabins or suites.

Thanks to a fuel capacity of over 10,000 liters, the Navetta 42′ has a range of over 3,000 nautical miles.

The Riva brand will join the French event with its 110′ Dolcevita. This fiberglass 34-meter boats is the new flagship of the brand; interiors boast a considerable headroom of 2.30 meters as well as wide windows with a 270-degree view of the sea.

At Cannes Yachting Festival, just next to the 110-footer, visitors can admire another première by Riva: the 66′ Ribelle. Only a few renderings have been unveiled but no more details are known about this brand-new 66-footer.

Azimut S6Another Italian shipyard, Azimut, will launch three world premières from 18 to 32 meters. More specifically, the S6 is the new unit in the S Line, characterized by high-tech carbon and fiberglass construction and three engines for a top speed of over 35 knots.

Azimut will also launch two versions of the Grande range, 25 and 32 meters long respectively. Both yachts feature many Carbon Tech details.

Cranchi, instead, will unveil two interesting novelties under 30 feet: the E 26 Classic and the E 26 Rider, the two members in the new E26 line.

The main difference between the two boats lies in the engine option: the E 26 Classic, indeed, is fitted with an inboard engine while the E26 Rider is powered by an outboard.

With an elegant forward teak deck and a small cabin with en-suite bathroom, the E26 Classic is a powerboat with sporty lines, perfect for a couple or as a megayacht tender.Cranchi E26 Classic

The E 26 Rider, instead, is a day cruiser that, thanks to two comfortable relation areas located both forward and aft, is perfect to spend a day at sea or on the lake with friends.

As for French shipyards, Jeanneau will join the Cannes Yachting Festival with its new Prestige 590, the flagship of the Flybridge Line.

This boats is designed to provide passengers with top comfort, thanks to wide relaxation and sunbathing areas positioned in the bow and on the flybridge.

Prestige 590Situated just at the boat entrance, the galley includes a wide dinette while the engine room is home to two Cummins 600 hp engines. A fuel capacity of over 2,000 liters guarantees great range.

The S line enriches itself with two new open coupé boats: the Prestige 460 S and the Prestige 520 S.

With a length of 14.30 meters, the 460 S features a large forward sun pad and a convertible table aft. The standard version is offered with two cabins but the owner can also opt for a 3-cabin version. Motorization, too, is custom, with twin 350 or 600hp engines.

Bigger in size, the 520 S is 16 meters long and offers 3 large cabins below deck. Forward, the sunbathing platform is convertible and equipped with two chaises longues and a dedicated awning. Double motorization ranges from two 350hp engines to twin 600hp engines.
