Coelmo Integra Plus: the advanced power management system for the electrical sources on board

The 2017 edition of the Genoa International Boat Show was a great success, with record numbers both in terms of visitors and products sold. The event was an important occasion for shipyards to exhibit their own boats in the Europe’s most visited boat show.

Integra Plus Coelmo

Manufacturers of marine accessories and electronic equipment, too, played a key role in the event and exhibited their latest novelties in a specific area named Power Village. Amongst the various stands available, we visited that one of Coelmo, a company that has been manufacturing marine and industrial generating sets for over 70 years.

As we had already announced in a previous article, the most anticipated novelty of the brand was the Integra Plus system, to which the company dedicated a whole wall of the stand.

The new system for the management of energy sources on board, which includes even a pure sine wave 1000 or 2000 kW inverter, monitors all information through a single EOS digital control panel. This way, a single display provides the owner with complete information about the generator, the renewable energy sources, batteries and shore power.

Simply by tuning the TV to your favourite programme, Integra Plus will choose one of the available energy sources. The resulting smart power supply will consistently reduce consumption, with great advantages in terms of money saving and environmental impact.

The Integra Plus system encloses various functions, including a battery charger, a UPS and a sophisticated permanent galvanic protection system which efficiently safeguards the boat against galvanic currents.

Safety, reliability and performance have been significantly improved and the system is able to provide even unexperienced yachtsmen with a user-friendly monitoring and management system.

In addition to the Integra Plus system, Coelmo exhibited other four products, all resulting from the ongoing effort of the company to produce silent systems in the service of on-board comfort.

DM600 Coelmo

At the boat show, in fact, the stand hosted the DM600,  a single-phase soundproof marine generating set with 50 Hz frequency, a noise level of 54 dB(A) at 7 meters and a fuel consumption of 2.70 l/h. Silent and compact thanks to its marine aluminum box, it has 5 opening sides for easier maintenance. We tested it on board our Daydreamer during our summer cruise some months ago.

The model is an advanced version of the DM 600-G. Exhibited at the Genoa International Boat Show and compatible with the Integra Plus system, both models are equipped with a EOS digital control panel that monitors all operating parameters.

The stand was completed by the DML970, a 230V soundproof generating set delivering a fuel consumption of 3.40 l/h, and the FDTM67AR1M, a 78 kWe auxiliary marine generator.
