Barcos que, en casi todos los casos, acaban navegando casi siempre a motor. No me malinterprete, a m\u00ed tambi\u00e9n me gusta estar c\u00f3modo en un barco, sin embargo, hay algunos l\u00edmites que, cuando se traspasan, hacen que navegar sea casi imposible.<br \/>Outremer Catamaran es un astillero franc\u00e9s que, por el contrario, lleva 40 a\u00f1os fabricando catamaranes pensados para navegar de verdad, ya sea para cruceros de verano o, como suele ocurrir, para zarpar y recorrer el mundo. Son barcos que pueden ir r\u00e1pido, garantizar un gran confort y orzar como un monocasco, todo ello con un nivel de seguridad muy alto.<\/p>\n<p>Por tanto, comprender\u00e1 f\u00e1cilmente que, en cuanto se present\u00f3 la ocasi\u00f3n, me subiera a mi coche y, lanzado, me dirigiera a La Grande Motte para subir a bordo de un Outremer 55, el buque insignia de este emblem\u00e1tico astillero.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-105277 size-full\" title=\"Outremer-55-vela\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Outremer-55-sailing.webp\" alt=\"Outremer-55-vela\" width=\"1600\" height=\"652\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Outremer-55-sailing.webp 1600w, https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Outremer-55-sailing-300x122.webp 300w, https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Outremer-55-sailing-768x313.webp 768w, https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Outremer-55-sailing-1536x626.webp 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Outremer 55 Prueba en el mar<\/h2>\n<p>Nuestro Outremer 55 nos espera en La Grande Motte, sede del astillero y encantadora ciudad de la Camarga, cerca de Montpellier. Aqu\u00ed es precisamente donde nace el Mistral, y la jornada de hoy lo confirma de forma incuestionable. Seguimos en puerto, el viento ya sopla entre 20 y 25 nudos y tiende a fortalecerse m\u00e1s tarde.<\/p>\n<p>Mark, el patr\u00f3n, sin embargo, es tan fresco como un pepino y, utilizando los dos motores, maniobra suavemente entre los postes y nos saca del amarre. Salimos lentamente de la escollera y, cuando a\u00fan estamos protegidos, nos colocamos a barlovento e izamos la vela mayor, luego nos alejamos, el barco se balancea y apagamos el motor. S\u00f3lo con la vela mayor ya navegamos a 9,5\/10 nudos.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-105281\" title=\"Outremer-55-vela-vista-a\u00e9rea\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Outremer-55-sailing-aerial-view-300x300.webp\" alt=\"Outremer-55-vela-vista-a\u00e9rea\" width=\"450\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Outremer-55-sailing-aerial-view-300x300.webp 300w, https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Outremer-55-sailing-aerial-view-150x150.webp 150w, https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Outremer-55-sailing-aerial-view.webp 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/>Abrimos el g\u00e9nova, lo trimamos para navegar con el viento de popa y de nuevo nuestro Outremer 55 acelera, en poco tiempo la velocidad est\u00e1 justo por debajo de los 14 nudos. A esta velocidad las millas fluyen r\u00e1pido y adem\u00e1s pronto salimos del abrigo que nos ofrece la costa, el fetch aumenta y con \u00e9l la altura de las olas.<\/p>\n<p>Estas son las condiciones que buscaba, as\u00ed que, tras preguntar al capit\u00e1n, me hago con el tim\u00f3n de barlovento y me pongo a gobernar.<\/p>\n<p>Desde luego, no es el primer catamar\u00e1n <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/es\/veleros\/\">de<\/a> vela que pruebo, pero \u00e9ste es definitivamente diferente a cualquier otro en el que haya navegado antes, el tim\u00f3n es r\u00e1pido, sensible y permite \u00absentir\u00bb la presi\u00f3n del viento sobre las velas: timonear en estas condiciones es embriagador.<\/p>\n<p>Me alejo y desde el espejo de popa bajo a 110 grados de viento aparente, el Outremer 55 navega r\u00e1pido y seguro, con las legendarias orzas bajadas hasta la mitad, en un mar rayado de blanco por el viento. El viento verdadero sopla a 24 nudos y nosotros navegamos tranquilamente a 16,8 nudos.<\/p>\n<p>Empiezo a orzar; necesito ver c\u00f3mo se comporta el Outremer 55 contra el viento y, lo que es m\u00e1s importante, contra las olas. El viento aparente, sin embargo, obviamente aumenta mucho, as\u00ed que trimamos la mayor, enrollamos el g\u00e9nova y abrimos el trinquete.<\/p>\n<p>A estas alturas ya estamos lejos de la costa, el viento verdadero supera constantemente los 25 nudos y algunas rachas alcanzan los 30.<\/p>\n<p>Las olas han aumentado mucho y han alcanzado una altura media de 1,5 metros.<\/p>\n<p>Navegando a barlovento, sin embargo, el Outremer 55 se comporta decididamente bien, a 60 grados del viento aparente navegamos a 11,8 nudos y las olas no son un problema, claro que las sentimos, pero el paso de los cascos sobre ellas es suave, el catamar\u00e1n no golpea y frena muy poco.<\/p>\n<p>Vuelvo a orzar y llego a 35 grados de viento aparente, en estas condiciones de viento y mar no ser\u00eda capaz de hacer este \u00e1ngulo con un monocasco de crucero, sin embargo el Outremer 55 sigue navegando a una velocidad de entre 8 y 9 nudos, sin ning\u00fan problema.<\/p>\n<p>Qu\u00e9 catamar\u00e1n Fuera el viento y el mar arrecian y hace fr\u00edo, pero aqu\u00ed estamos sentados y charlando, calentitos y casi en silencio.<\/p>\n<p>Navegamos con piloto autom\u00e1tico y yo estoy sentado c\u00f3modamente en el pupitre central, cerca de las ventanas de proa de la dinette. Desde aqu\u00ed podr\u00e1 gobernar c\u00f3modamente la embarcaci\u00f3n, actuando sobre los mandos de pilotaje a distancia, una extraordinaria comodidad durante las largas navegaciones o, m\u00e1s sencillamente, para permanecer resguardado por la noche.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-105310 size-full\" title=\"datos de navegaci\u00f3n\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/navigation-data.webp\" alt=\"datos de navegaci\u00f3n\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/navigation-data.webp 1600w, https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/navigation-data-300x169.webp 300w, https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/navigation-data-768x432.webp 768w, https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/navigation-data-1536x864.webp 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, si quisiera estar al tim\u00f3n, podr\u00eda hacerlo permaneciendo a cubierto, ya que la rueda del Outremer 55 es pivotante y permite utilizarla en tres posiciones: todo exterior (m\u00e1xima visibilidad sobre las velas), central (para amarrar con las mariposas a mano) e interior (cuando el tiempo es inclemente) para permanecer completamente resguardado.<\/p>\n<p>En resumen, este Outremer 55 es un catamar\u00e1n decididamente fuera de lo com\u00fan, dif\u00edcil no quedar encantado por esta intrigante mezcla de prestaciones y confort.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"western\">Outremer 55 en detalle<\/h3>\n<h4 class=\"western\">Aparejo, cubierta y plano v\u00e9lico<\/h4>\n<p>El Outremer 55 es un catamar\u00e1n dise\u00f1ado para ser a la vez r\u00e1pido y f\u00e1cil de manejar. De hecho, el plano de cubierta permite adaptar la vela de proa m\u00e1s adecuada al rumbo y a las condiciones de viento en las que se desee o necesite navegar.<\/p>\n<p>El baupr\u00e9s es f\u00e1cilmente accesible y permite aparejar un Code Zero o un Gennaker en un trinquete, mientras que una vela de 68 sq. m. El g\u00e9nova est\u00e1 en el estay de proa. Desde aqu\u00ed es posible manejar el barco, trazar cartas, comunicarse y, gracias al piloto autom\u00e1tico, gobernar la embarcaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"western\">La zona de descanso<\/h4>\n<p>El Outremer 55 est\u00e1 disponible en versiones de tres o cuatro camarotes, una opci\u00f3n capaz de satisfacer incluso a las tripulaciones m\u00e1s numerosas. Mi versi\u00f3n favorita es claramente la de tres camarotes, que permite al propietario disfrutar de todo el casco de estribor, as\u00ed como de un ba\u00f1o sencillamente enorme.
