Forte Yachts has chosen the stage of the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, scheduled from September 8 to 13, for the brand’s official debut with the new Forte 47 Gran Turismo. This luxury sport yacht is designed to redefine category standards by combining high performance, build quality, and solutions typically found on larger vessels.
After completing its sea trial program, the Forte 47 Gran Turismo confirmed the shipyard’s expectations, standing out for its speed, stability, and engineering precision. The model represents the perfect synthesis of the brand’s philosophy: offering a mini-superyacht experience without sacrificing sportiness.
The heart of the Forte 47 Gran Turismo features triple 600 hp Mercury Verado V12 engines, delivering a top speed of 47 knots. The naval architecture, developed by Umberto Tagliavini, was put to the test during extensive trials in the Gulf of La Spezia, confirming balanced dynamic performance even at high speeds.

The lines of the Forte 47 Gran Turismo bear the signature of designer Paolo Giordano, who interpreted the project with a clean, contemporary style. The silhouette is characterized by taut topsides, a hardtop with a suspended black band, and proportions reminiscent of higher-category yachts. At anchor, the fold-down bulwarks transform the cockpit into a platform exceeding 40 square meters, significantly expanding the living space.
The outdoor area includes a large sunbed and a modular sofa; a wet bar with a grill, sink, refrigerator, and ice maker; a retractable TV for entertainment; an electric gangway integrated into the transom; and side platforms that double as swimming areas. The goal is to create a seamless connection with the sea, prioritizing conviviality and outdoor living.
Thanks to its all-aluminum construction, the Forte 47 Gran Turismo offers high flexibility in interior spatial configuration. The standard layout features a spacious master cabin with an ensuite head and a guest cabin that can be configured with a double and single bed, complete with a dedicated second guest head—a layout still rare in the 47-foot category that enhances comfort during multi-day cruises.
“Finding two cabins with private ensuite heads on a luxury yacht in this segment is very rare,” confirms Paolo Giordano. “This feature is normally reserved for larger vessels and is one of the key strengths of the Forte 47. The sheer volume of space and the quality of storage are also remarkable achievements. We expect this generous layout to appeal strongly to both younger owners and families.“
The interior, crafted by superyacht outfitter Genesis, features contemporary materials such as pickled light oak, faux leather paneling, and matte finishes, with meticulous attention to construction details and storage space.
One of the project’s defining elements is the high degree of customizability. In addition to the Gran Turismo version with Mercury outboard propulsion, Forte Yachts offers the Lounge Deck variant powered by Volvo Penta IPS, designed to prioritize range, efficiency, and an even larger swim platform. A fully enclosed, heated cockpit configuration is also available for Northern European markets and colder climates, without sacrificing fold-down bulwarks or outdoor modularity.
“With the Forte 47 Gran Turismo, our ambition was not simply to build the fastest 47-footer on the market,” explains Fernando Moricca, Co-Owner & Business Manager. “Our goal was to create a yacht that delivers the quality, craftsmanship, and engineering typical of much larger vessels while guaranteeing a high level of customization.
