Chez The International Yachting Media, nous avons eu un premier aper\u00e7u exclusif du nouvel <b>Aquila 42 Coupe<\/b>, dans sa version inboard, pour d\u00e9couvrir ce que signifie r\u00e9ellement combiner <b>confort, efficacit\u00e9 et performances<\/b> dans un seul multicoque.<\/p><p>Nous sommes \u00e0 G\u00eanes, au c\u0153ur de la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, et les conditions de mer sont loin d\u2019\u00eatre id\u00e9ales pour un essai tranquille : une longue houle du sud-est met \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve la stabilit\u00e9 et la maniabilit\u00e9 du bateau. La puissance est fournie par une paire de moteurs <b>Volvo Penta D6 de 440 ch<\/b>, pour un total de 880 chevaux. Rien d\u2019extr\u00eame, mais suffisant pour <b>mettre n\u2019importe quel bateau \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve<\/b>.<br>Nous commen\u00e7ons au ralenti, \u00e0 700 tr\/min, en faisant 4,5 n\u0153uds avec une consommation instantan\u00e9e de carburant de 3,36 litres par heure. C\u2019est une allure de d\u00e9placement silencieuse, mais l\u2019Aquila 42 n\u2019est clairement pas con\u00e7u pour y rester longtemps.  <\/p><p>Nous poussons les manettes des gaz vers l\u2019avant. \u00c0 12 n\u0153uds, la coque commence \u00e0 se soulever l\u00e9g\u00e8rement et le sillage s\u2019\u00e9tire \u2014 nous sommes d\u00e9j\u00e0 en mode semi-planant. Sans trop d\u2019efforts suppl\u00e9mentaires, le bateau acc\u00e9l\u00e8re en douceur jusqu\u2019\u00e0 18 n\u0153uds, et <g id=\"gid_0\">c\u2019est l\u00e0 que le foil entre en jeu<\/g>. Ce n\u2019est pas un foil \u00ab volant \u00bb comme ceux des monocoques de course, mais une <b>lame hydrodynamique<\/b> qui g\u00e9n\u00e8re de la portance, all\u00e9geant la coque de <b>pr\u00e8s de la moiti\u00e9 de son poids<\/b>. Le r\u00e9sultat est une navigation exceptionnellement douce qui reste fluide et silencieuse m\u00eame face \u00e0 la mer. Nous pouvons sentir la diff\u00e9rence : le bateau glisse sur l\u2019eau plut\u00f4t que de la fendre. \u00c0 20 n\u0153uds, toujours face aux vagues, la consommation moyenne de carburant se stabilise autour de 4 litres par mille nautique \u2014 un <b>chiffre impressionnant<\/b> pour un bateau de cette taille et de cette puissance, preuve que l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 du foil et la r\u00e9partition du volume de la coque fonctionnent en parfaite harmonie.      <\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-157257 size-full\" title=\"Vue avant de l\u2019Aquila 42 Coupe\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Aquila-42-Coupe-2.jpg\" alt=\"Vue avant de l\u2019Aquila 42 Coupe\" width=\"1350\" height=\"900\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Aquila-42-Coupe-2.jpg 1350w, https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Aquila-42-Coupe-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.yachtingnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Aquila-42-Coupe-2-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1350px) 100vw, 1350px\" \/><\/p><p>Nous acc\u00e9l\u00e9rons \u00e0 nouveau. Les manettes des gaz avancent et les deux Volvo D6 r\u00e9pondent rapidement. L\u2019Aquila 42 Coupe acc\u00e9l\u00e8re avec enthousiasme, sans jamais montrer le moindre signe de fatigue. Les instruments grimpent \u2014 37 n\u0153uds, puis 40, atteignant un maximum de <b>41,3 n\u0153uds \u00e0 pleine charge<\/b>, toujours face \u00e0 la mer. M\u00eame \u00e0 ces vitesses, la maniabilit\u00e9 reste stable et le confort \u00e0 bord n\u2019est jamais compromis. C\u2019est l\u00e0 que l\u2019on appr\u00e9cie vraiment la diff\u00e9rence d\u2019un catamaran bien con\u00e7u : les deux coques fendent l\u2019eau avec une r\u00e9sistance minimale, tandis que le foil maintient la plateforme du pont presque parfaitement \u00e0 niveau.     <\/p><p>Nous ralentissons pour trouver la vitesse de croisi\u00e8re id\u00e9ale. \u00c0 30 n\u0153uds et 2 800 tr\/min, le bateau avance avec la mer sur le quart tribord, et la consommation de carburant tombe \u00e0 seulement 3,1 litres par mille nautique. En la ramenant \u00e0 25 n\u0153uds, le chiffre s\u2019am\u00e9liore encore : 2,9 litres par mille \u00e0 2 500 tr\/min. Des chiffres comme ceux-ci sont <b>tout simplement exceptionnels<\/b> pour cette cat\u00e9gorie de bateau. La raison est claire : \u00e0 ces vitesses, le foil fonctionne \u00e0 son efficacit\u00e9 maximale, soulevant progressivement la coque et r\u00e9duisant la surface mouill\u00e9e. Le r\u00e9sultat est une <b>navigation plus rapide, plus l\u00e9g\u00e8re et plus \u00e9conomique<\/b>, avec la sensation \u00e0 la barre d\u2019un bateau de sport plut\u00f4t que d\u2019un catamaran de 42 pieds.     <\/p><p>Nous d\u00e9cidons de tester la maniabilit\u00e9. \u00c0 30 n\u0153uds, plein tribord : l\u2019Aquila 42 d\u00e9crit un cercle d\u2019environ 30 m\u00e8tres de diam\u00e8tre. Nous contre-virons, plein b\u00e2bord, et la r\u00e9ponse est la m\u00eame. La <b>direction reste pr\u00e9cise<\/b>, la g\u00eete est minimale et l\u2019assiette reste parfaite m\u00eame dans les virages serr\u00e9s. Le foil continue de faire son travail m\u00eame \u00e0 des vitesses moyennes \u00e0 basses, donnant la sensation d\u2019un yacht beaucoup plus grand, plus stable et plus solide. Cela rend la croisi\u00e8re <b>facile et confortable<\/b>, m\u00eame pour ceux qui ont peu d\u2019exp\u00e9rience en catamaran.   <\/p><p>Nos mesures racontent une histoire claire. \u00c0 700 tr\/min, la vitesse est de 4,5 n\u0153uds avec une consommation de carburant de 3,36 litres par heure. \u00c0 2 500 tr\/min, le bateau fait 25 n\u0153uds tout en consommant 2,9 litres par mille, et \u00e0 2 800 tr\/min, il atteint 30 n\u0153uds avec une consommation de 3,1 litres par mille. \u00c0 pleine puissance, 41,3 n\u0153uds, le catamaran reste impeccablement stable. Ces chiffres pointent vers une seule v\u00e9rit\u00e9 : <b>l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 ici n\u2019est pas qu\u2019un concept \u2014 c\u2019est une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 tangible<\/b>. Le r\u00e9sultat est un bateau qui combine <b>des lignes modernes, des surfaces \u00e9pur\u00e9es et une v\u00e9ritable fonctionnalit\u00e9<\/b>.  <\/p><p>D\u00e8s que vous montez \u00e0 bord depuis la plateforme arri\u00e8re, la sensation d\u2019espace est frappante. Le cockpit est <b>immense<\/b> \u2014 l\u2019une des caract\u00e9ristiques d\u00e9terminantes des multicoques. Sur le pont, la zone avant refl\u00e8te parfaitement le style am\u00e9ricain qui d\u00e9finit la gamme Aquila : quatre si\u00e8ges orient\u00e9s vers l\u2019avant qui peuvent \u00eatre convertis en bains de soleil suppl\u00e9mentaires, offrant \u00e0 la fois s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et confort pendant la croisi\u00e8re.  <\/p><p>Sous le pont, les espaces int\u00e9rieurs sont <b>\u00e9tonnamment g\u00e9n\u00e9reux pour cette cat\u00e9gorie<\/b>. Une grande dinette climatis\u00e9e, avec une table pliante pouvant accueillir jusqu\u2019\u00e0 huit personnes, accueille les invit\u00e9s dans une atmosph\u00e8re lumineuse et a\u00e9r\u00e9e. La cuisine, \u00e0 b\u00e2bord, est am\u00e9nag\u00e9e comme celle d\u2019un petit yacht : r\u00e9frig\u00e9rateur pleine hauteur, micro-ondes, g\u00e9n\u00e9reux espace de comptoir et nombreux rangements \u2014 <b>id\u00e9al pour les longues croisi\u00e8res<\/b>. Chaque coque abrite une cabine double avec un lit queen-size, une salle de bain priv\u00e9e et une grande douche s\u00e9par\u00e9e. L\u2019intimit\u00e9 est totale, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la s\u00e9paration naturelle des deux coques.
