ISA SPORT 120 “CLORINDA”. PREVIEW OF THE NEW ISA YACHTS’ SUPERYACHT

Less than one year after the acquisition of the Italian Isa Yachts shipyard by Palumbo Group, we can admire the first tangibile sign of this interesting phase of transition. Launched in July, the “Clorinda” superyacht is the 11th model of the Isa Sport 120 range and, above all, the first boat built under the eyes of Palumbo Group that, thanks to its 50-year history in the world of boat industry, has certainly added value to the construction of this amazing superyacht.

Clorinda is 37 metres long and is fitted with a particular motorization wanted by her owner who evidently loves sporty performances. Power, in fact, comes from three Mtu 16V M96 1,790 kW (2,433 hp) engines twinned to two side Rolls-Royce Kamewa 71S3 water jets and a central Kamewa 56B3 booster.

This particular match allows for great performances, both in terms of speed (top speed reaches 34 knots!) and acceleration, perfectly in line with what we would expect for the new Isa Sport 120.

The architectural framework aims to enhance the relation to the environment with the consequent creation of larger deck areas in contact with water and exterior areas entirely devoted to sunbathes or on-board conviviality.

The proportion between interior and exterior spaces is well balanced, with large terraces above the sea, a spacious cockpit, an amazing flying bridge, an elegant inner lounge and comfortable cabins.

More specifically, interiors feature an attentive management of volumes, as in the case of the master cabin that includes two levels, using the forward main deck and lower deck.

The profile of this boat is so streamlined that the flybridge, although huge and impressive, tends to visually disappear by offering an overall line that replicates, without copying, the typical elegant design of large open motoryachts.

The sun deck, wide enough for a yacht of this size, stands out for its elegant lines. Forward, behind the windscreen, two sofas allow passengers to enjoy the fresh air and navigation while sheltered from the wind.

Further aft, on the left, is positioned a wet bar equipped with refrigerator, sinks and a dumbwaiter connected to the galley. On the right, a hot tub guarantees unforgettable relaxation moments on board.

The roll-bar lies laterally and shapes a large gate where a hard top creates a well-sheltered dining area furnished with two semicircular sofas.

“Clorinda” can accommodate up to 10 guests and 5 crew members. This yacht intrigues us very much and we look forward to see it at the next boat shows.
