Jeanneau Leader 33 voted “best family boat” in Berlin

The 17 journalists composing the jury of the ” Best of Boats 2017” award at the Boat and Fun Berlin – the Berlin-based trade fair which closed last November 26th – had no doubts: the Leader 33, built by the French boatyard Jeanneau, is the best boat in the “Best for family” category.

As the main hallmark of this 2017 Jeanneau’s entry, versatility has probably played a significant part in this success.

Offered in two different versions – Open, equipped with a roll-bar, and Sport Top, with an electrically opening hard top – the Leader 33 is capable of suiting different needs, according to the various owner’s desires and weather conditions: you can therefore enjoy a full contact with natural elements, like on a sporty powerboat, or select a more protected version in the case of longer cruises or heavy weather.

Equally versatile, the interiors feature a modular design, with multiple solutions in terms of cabin layouts and a modular dinette, whose spaces can be transformed at different times of the day.

During the day, in fact, the fore cabin can be used as a living area thanks to its total protection and décor while, at night, a set of sliding panels converts it into a sleeping zone, where total privacy is guaranteed.  This way, the number of berths available on board is doubled, in addition to the two ones housed in the cabin located amidships.

The cockpit encloses the helm station equipped with a single seat. Behind it, a large living zone, furnished with a U-shaped sofa and a large dinner table, faces the galley positioned on the starboard side. With exquisite décor, luxury amenities and generous volumes, the boat makes its guests feel on board a larger boat. On the contrary, the real size is more compact and the hull length measures just little less than 9 meters.

Even in the cockpit, the possibility to transform the rear seat into a large sun pad highlights the effort put by French boatyard in maing any single space of the Leader 33 highly flexible. An additional sun pad is positioned on the fore triangle.

The boat is offered in the following power options:  2 x Volvo Penta D3 220 HP (with Duoprop drives), 2x  Mercuiser patrol V6 250 HP (with stern drives) and 2 x Mercruiser V8 300 hp with Axius pods.
