Kufner 54 Exclusive: the “special” version and its differences

Kufner Yachts joined this year’s Genoa International Boat Show with a new “special” version of the Kufner 54 Exclusive which caught the visitors’ attention with its distinctive features.

The entire stern is perfectly uncluttered and wide, and without the encumbrance of the external galley this space is very convenient when helming or when at anchor for taking a bath.

This special version of the Kufner 54 Exclusive features white (instead of the standard black) seams matched with white Carbonautica wheels and a white painted mast, making everything look homogeneous and at the same time contrasting with the deep blue keel.

One of the highlights of this boat is the ease of manoeuvring: a furling mainsail with an electric winch, as well as a jib in the bow (instead of the genoa) means you can sail single-handed. What’s more, the teak cockpit table option adds a touch of elegance to the boat, proving Kufner’s attention to detail.

However, what makes this version of the Kufner 54 Exclusive really special is the bespoke layout below deck. Mainly designed for the chartering market, this boat has 4 guest cabins and a crew cabin. The shipyard, however, has introduced a number of clever updates in the bow cabins, creating a spacious double cabin and a smaller one with pullman beds. This custom-made layout provides a smart solution to make better use of the space available, while providing guests with the best comfort and a functional space arrangement, perfect when cruising with children.

Inside, the high-quality materials come together to produce a luxury and comfortable setting. Fabrics by Sergio Ferrari and laminates by Abet complement each other perfectly, while light colours convey a clean, modern ambience. In addition, Kufner has improved the interior finishes even further, including leather upholstery for the handrails and door handles, demonstrating an extra attention to quality and elegance.

Another interesting feature of this boat is the double air conditioning system, which ensures comfort in all cabins and the saloon. Moreover, the space under the central island has been used to accommodate a washer-dryer, offering an extra touch of practicality.

On the technological side, the electrical system has been upgraded with five 220A service batteries each, a 3kW inverter and a high-efficiency solar panel system. This guarantees a reliable and autonomous power source for the boat, allowing air conditioning to be used for a considerable period without the need for a generator.

The special version of the Kufner 54 Exclusive displayed at the Genoa Boat Show is a demonstration of Kufner Yachts’ continuous quest for excellence, where customization and quality materials are the key aspects of the shipyard’s philosophy.
