Marina di Varazze will host the first classic cars elegance contest

The Ligurian city will host the first Marina di Varazze Classic Cars, an elegance contest for classic cars built until 1970, organized by Marina di Varazze in collaboration with “Automobilismo d’epoca” magazine and “Ruote d’epoca Riviera dei Fiori” club.

During the weekend of 16th and 17th June, Varazze will join sea and engines together, gathering classic cars on the jetties of the Marina di Varazze. A panel of jurors will access cars and, at the end of the contest, will present awards to: the car from the farthest away, the oldest car and the most beautiful car, which will win the coveted “Best in Show” award.

On Saturday morning, four wheelers will get the marina to take position in the spaces reserved for them; then, at sunset and at night ( it will be one of the longest days of the year) they can be admired and voted by visitors and boaters already present in the port who can therefore elect the ” Lady of the Night”, as a prologue of Sunday.

On Sunday, contest participants will start their jewels to parade down the Promenade Lungomare Europa, the city centre of Varazze and the historical Aurelia trunk road. After lunch, in early afternoon, the jury will carry out its assessments and will award winners.

The jury panel will be guided by Leonardo Fioravanti, the Italian automobile designer famous for his collaboration with Ferrari. During his 20-year career at Pirinfarina, he also designed the well-known Ferrari F40.

If you want to join the competition with your own car, please remember that you can register even at the last minute, on Sunday.

Participation fees:

€ 100,00 + VAT per car (2 people), Sunday lunch included.

€ 120,00 + VAT for registrations on Sunday morning, by 10:00. 

€ 50,00 +  VAT :  Parade and car/moto exhibition only with no participation to the contest

€ 30,00 + VAT per person, Saturday night dinner only.

Extra cost per person for the Sunday contest: € 30,00 + VAT (no extras required for registrations on Sunday morning)
