SHAMANNA ASTONISHES AT MONACO BOAT SHOW WITH HER MAJESTIC CARBON MAST

Shamanna, new Swan 115 FD launched last spring, attends Monaco Boat Show with her brother Highland Fling 115 these days. And she doesn’t go unnoticed: her full carbon mast is an astonishing 56-metre pole standing out near the other superyachts.

Designed by German Frers, she was conceived according to a brief received by some potential owners who, as the yard explains, “were looking for a big sailing boat able to ensure, in addition to family cruise comfort, a little more excitement at high speed. This brief led us to design a hull with a high waterline length which is used to maximize performances in light wind, which is a different concept from the traditional one of heavier cruiser racers”.
Shamanna is a Swan 115 FD, flush deck version, with a clear deck and a compact deckhouse which seems to disappear under the bridge. The hull has a plumb bow and a very large stern, two rudder blades which help to increase the boat control. Hull, deck and rigging are made of carbon. the yacht is entirely soundproof.
High-quality light teak panels and sumptuous dark wood floors blend beautifully with the contemporary soft furnishings and stylish finishes. Leather finishes are anywhere: bedframe, drawer knobs, bookcase junctions and even in the central block which hides the lifting keel and divides the huge salon into a conversation and a lunch area.

The full beam master cabin with king-size bed , studio and sofa is forward of the salon. The walk-in closet is just before the bathroom, equipped with a vacuum shower.

Swan 115 is available in three different versions: FD (flash deck), with clear deck and compact deckhouse; Race, optimized for regattas; S, with raised saloon and a cruise layout.

At the moment, two other maxi boats, a 115 Race (so, Swan 115 rise to 4 – the first was Solleone, followed by Shamanna and Highland Fling 15) and a 95  S are under construction.
