The International Yachting Media and Enjoy Side launch a new sea trial video format

The International Yachting Media launches a new video format for testing boats and marine accessories, aimed at standing out and making a difference in the industry. Our international publishing group, active with six yachting magazines published in 17 international editions, has just signed an agreement with the television program Enjoy Side to produce a series of sea trials that will be broadcast on both platforms. The tests will be presented by the renowned host Barbara Kal and Luca D’Ambrosio, an internationally recognized tester, journalist, and editor-in-chief of The International Yachting Media.

The project aims to create a video sea trial format deeply different from those currently available, offering a detailed analysis and description of boats in terms of technical aspects and performance while also exploring their design and lifestyle components. This dual approach is reflected in the choice of two hosts, Luca D’Ambrosio and Barbara Kal, who bring their unique expertise to the table. The team is further strengthened by Iacopo Vannini, a director and TV producer with 30 years of experience in the television industry. Vannini has collaborated with major players such as Mediaset, Rai, La7, and Sky, and has also developed original formats of his own creation.

The dual publication on The International Yachting Media platforms and Enjoy Side will ensure broad exposure for the tsea trials. The videos will be available in nine languages and will also be featured in articles across the group’s magazines, reaching a global audience, including the United States—a rapidly growing market where Luca D’Ambrosio is already a well-known figure as a journalist and yacht tester. Additionally, D’Ambrosio is the only Italian journalist to be a member of BWI, the U.S.-based organization that brings together journalists specializing in the boating sector.

The new format will take its name from the group’s most prestigious magazine, YACHT DIGEST, a title that speaks volumes about the meticulous selection of boats that will be showcased. This careful curation ensures the publication of only the best that the yachting market has to offer today.

As soon as I met Barbara Kal, I realized she would be the ideal partner for this project – says Luca D’Ambrosio – Like all our other editorial products, this one will also feature highly innovative elements, which will be unvealed shortly”.

My artistic and television journey actually began in the boatingworld – adds Barbara Kal – My first professional experience was with Mare Tv, a channel dedicated to boats. So, I’m thrilled to embark on this new adventure with The International Yachting Media, which marks another milestone in my 15 years of work with Enjoy Side. Our format highlights excellence, touching on many transversal topics, with yachting as a key focus”.

Iacopo Vannini also expresses his excitement: “I’m enthusiastic about the project and the team that will bring it to life.
