The International Yachting Media acquires LosBarcos.com

LOSBARCOS.COM acquired byThe International Yachting Media.

In the world of yachting publishing, strategic acquisitions play a crucial role in expanding an editor’s reach and market value. In this context, THE INTERNATIONAL YACHTING MEDIA, the world’s most widely read digital communication platform, has announced the acquisition of LOSBARCOS.COM, the brand and domain name of a now-defunct print magazine.

“The acquisition of LOSBARCOS.COM is a strategic move that demonstrates how THE INTERNATIONAL YACHTING MEDIA continues to invest in consolidating its position as the global leader in digital yachting information – says Luca D’Ambrosio, CEO and founder of the publishing group – Print publishing is unfortunately in decline, and it is essential to revitalize prestigious brands like LOSBARCOS.COM, giving them a digital future”.

As proof of this vision, the acquisition took place through an online auction, attracting bids from some of the most prominent international publishers. In a competitive bidding war, THE INTERNATIONAL YACHTING MEDIA ultimately secured the valuable domain name.

LOSBARCOS.COM is an important domain name which now joins the ranks of YACHT DIGEST and YACHTING NEWS, two other prestigious acquisitions that are part of the exclusive collection owned by the Italian publisher.

With six magazines published in 17 international editions, THE INTERNATIONAL YACHTING MEDIA is the most widely read digital yachting publisher in the world. Thanks to its proprietary news broadcasting system, the publisher reaches readers across the globe, ensuring truly widespread news distribution.

To this already comprehensive portfolio, we must also add the renowned DIGITAL PILOT BOOK, published in four languages and the most widely consulted in the world. This free, essential, and indispensable tool for sailors is used daily by both yacht owners and captains, whether to find a berth in a port or to choose the best anchorage.

The new domain name will soon be integrated into the media panel and will be dedicated to the international expansion of its Spanish magazine. Thanks to this new domain, the publication will be instantly projected into all Latin American countries.

With The International Yachting Media’s innovative infrastructure, readers will also gain access to more in-depth articles, exclusive reports, and an enhanced user experience.

“This acquisition will further increase our readership – explains Giorgio Bruno, the group’s commercial director – Working for The International Yachting Media is truly exciting. For us, calling it innovation is an understatement—just in the last three years, we have launched four different digital initiatives. Our competitive advantage over traditional publishing is undeniable”.
