ICE 54 Suite, the new innovative and exclusive fast cruiser

A fast cruiser designed for passionate, experienced owners who look for real thrills and excitement at the helm. ICE 54 Suite is the new creation from Ice Yachts, an evolution of its best-selling ICE 54, built with outstanding craftsmanship and innovative materials, paired with finishes worthy of an 80-foot sailing yacht.

With the original ICE 54, the shipyard had already introduced a new generation of ultra-modern yachts that combine performance and onboard comfort, ideal both for demanding cruises and for taking part in regattas and sailing competitions. ICE 54 Suite takes this concept even further, bringing to the market the prototype of a perfect fast cruiser – once again designed by Felci Yacht Design – that enhances the comfort, luxury, and interior livability features typical of ICE’s smaller models.

The ICE 54 Suite in detail

The shipyard’s trademark features — the scimitar-shaped bow and the “smiling” stern — come directly from the ICE 33 racer. From a hydrodynamic perspective, the waterlines and appendages promise outstanding performance, both when sailing upwind at very tight angles and when planing at high speed downwind, thanks to a generous maximum beam of 4.65 meters and broad, powerful aft sections.

The numbers of the ICE 54 Suite are impressive: 13 tons of displacement (25% less than the category average), nearly 160 square meters of upwind sail area (rising to 400 square meters downwind), and outstanding safety thanks to high form stability and the weight-to-keel ratio. The hull and deck are laminated in a female mold using hybrid glass and carbon fibers with epoxy infusion; the carbon structures are vacuum-laminated and become one piece with the hull and deck. These choices, besides keeping weight down, give the boat exceptional solidity and strength, able to handle repeated loads and heavy stresses during the most demanding passages.

Another strenght of the ICE 54 Suite is the versatility offered by its keel configurations: choosing a lifting keel allows to adjust the draft from nearly 3.7 meters to 2.3 meters, while the standard keel version ranges from 2.5 to about 2.8 meters, allowing the yacht to adapt to any need or cruising ground. These options are tied to optimizing the bulb weight, which is specifically sized and CNC-machined. The Weldox high-strength steel fin and the CNC-machined lead bulb also reduce the percentage of ballast weight, lowering the yacht’s total displacement while maintaining the same righting moment.

Endless combinations for the interior spaces

Another strong point of the ICE 54 Suite is its spacious, comfortable, and highly customizable interiors. Owners can choose from multiple layouts, a wide range of finish materials, and countless details. The large forward master cabin easily accommodates a full-size bed accessible from both sides, just like at home. Alternatively, the owner can opt for the version with the bathroom located forward instead of the classic cabin.

Ice Yachts has also paid special attention to the innovative galley layout, featuring a practical island that creates a pleasant sense of continuity with the dinette’s living area. Another standout feature of the ICE 54 Suite is the expanded aft volume, which makes it possible to have an extra-large bathroom with a separate shower serving the guest cabins.

Air conditioning comes as standard, while the wide, bright lacquered surfaces reinterpret the typical interior style, aiming for modern simplicity without compromising functionality. The galley’s clean, contemporary design includes a full-height domestic-style refrigerator and a state-of-the-art island equipped with a dishwasher, offering a large work surface and an elegant, well-organized space that feels like a home kitchen even onboard.

The deck reflects the signature lines of Felci Yacht Design, combining simplicity with style, modernity with efficiency, comfort with versatility. Aft of the helm stations there is a large relaxation area with direct access to the sea through the practical fold-down stern platform, which doubles as a swim platform and gives access to the garage, large enough to store a 2.80-meter tender without deflating it. The cockpit, featuring wide benches and comfortable sea-keeping backrests, is distinctly oversized, providing not only great protection while sailing but also room for a large dining table.

The large side windows enhance the connection with the surrounding environment, making life on board brighter and more enjoyable. The deck equipment, designed to be handled even by a small crew, never interferes with onboard comfort, which is further ensured by meticulous attention to detail. High-quality components that reflect the shipyard’s elevated standards include the flush deck hatches, the dodger recessed into the coachroof, the cockpit-floor locker for hiding all halyards, and the dedicated liferaft compartment. The mast—also available in a high-modulus version—and the boom are made of carbon as standard, autoclave-cured and supplied by leading manufacturers. Carbon standing rigging is also available. The sail plan features a very low-overlap genoa, no running backstays, and shrouds attached directly to the hull, while the structural tanks for water and fuel are positioned under the floorboards to lower the center of gravity and increase storage space.

In conclusion, we can say that the ICE 54 Suite offers the comfort and space of a 60-footer just a few years ago, combined with the agility of a highly responsive 50-footer. Thanks to the technologies used—such as lightweight panels—the shipyard has achieved significant weight savings compared to a traditional build, without sacrificing the quality of the carpentry, both in the refinement of the finishes and in the excellence of the details.
