New electric thrusters, innovative control systems, and a revolutionary digital architecture to integrate onboard technologies. These are the innovations launched in a world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 by Quick Group, which thus expands its already extensive offering of marine technologies. At the heart of the Group’s new offering are the QSY range of electric thrusters, the Pacific control interface, and the new QCentric system architecture, developed to integrate Quick Group’s product portfolio while simultaneously promoting interoperability with third-party solutions.
The QSY range by Quick Group expands
The QSY range expands with several new models and a new 215 mm tunnel, completing Quick Group’s lineup of electric thrusters. The current range covers a broad spectrum of applications, from the BT QSY 140-50 at 12 volts, capable of delivering 50 kgf of thrust with a 140 mm tunnel, up to the BT QSY 300-350 at 48 volts, which reaches 350 kgf of thrust with a 300 mm tunnel.

The new 215 mm tunnel sits between the 185 mm and 250 mm versions, expanding configuration options and enabling shipyards and designers to more easily identify the solution sized according to the hull. The offering is intended for a particularly wide range of vessels, from centre console dayboats of around 7 meters to superyachts of 30 meters and beyond, depending on hull geometry and weight, or potential dual thruster installations. Power supply is also configurable depending on the model, with 12 V/24 V and 24 V/48 V options.
«These new models, together with the modularity introduced by the new 215 mm tunnel size, allow the QSY range to offer up to 350 kgf of thrust and enable builders to adopt the same brushless technology across a very wide range of boats up to 30 meters, or even beyond, depending on hull geometry and weight or should the builder choose a dual thruster installation,» says Lorenzo Mongiardo, Chief Technical Officer of Quick Group. «We listened to the market and developed each model to achieve exactly the desired thrust level, also working on fine-tuning to ensure specific performance while offering various power supply options at the same time.»
QSY technology is based on high-efficiency brushless synchronous motors paired with integrated inverters and a native proportional control system. The goal is to combine immediate torque response with more precise thrust control, while simultaneously reducing noise levels and power consumption. The architecture also contributes to reducing maintenance requirements. The result is a range designed to offer more precise maneuvering control, featuring a shared technology applicable to vessels of different sizes and configurations.
Pacific: a new control interface
Alongside the new QSY thrusters, Quick Group introduces Pacific, a new series of control interfaces developed to make thruster management more intuitive and integrated. Pacific is designed to work with all Quick Group thruster ranges, but has been specifically optimized to leverage the features of the QSY series, including proportional control, thrust adjustment precision, diagnostics, and digital integration.

The system will be available in three variants: T1, T1XL, and T2XL, allowing it to adapt to different thruster configurations and yacht sizes. «In developing the new controls, we focused on simplicity of installation,» explains Mongiardo. «It is truly a perfect match between QSY thrusters and their controls. Furthermore, installation is simple and compact, and the T1XL and T2XL units share the same footprint on the control console. If, for example, a customer decides to upgrade by adding a stern thruster, and therefore an additional control lever, there is no need to cut a different-sized hole in the console.»
Pacific was also developed to communicate with maneuvering and control systems from other manufacturers, including OEM platforms such as Volvo Penta, Mercury Marine, and Xenta. Interoperability is supported by dedicated gateways and NMEA 2000-compatible connections, allowing Quick technologies to be incorporated into modern onboard electronic architectures. It is within this scenario that QCentric comes into play, the third innovation launched by Quick Group at Cannes.
QCentric, Quick Group’s digital architecture
More than just a communication protocol, QCentric is presented as a shared and scalable technological framework, conceived to connect products, functions, and technologies through a common architecture. The platform forms the foundation of Quick Group’s technology roadmap and will be used to foster integration among the Group’s various product families.

The Pacific control system for thrusters represents the first application example of QCentric, but the architecture was designed to extend to other technologies as well, including thrusters, fin stabilizers, windlasses, and additional systems developed by the Group’s different divisions. «In essence, QCentric is a CAN bus protocol, but for us it is much more than that: it is an open and scalable ecosystem designed to connect products, functions, and technologies through a common architecture,» explains Mongiardo. «The Pacific control system for thrusters is the first to use QCentric, but the platform was conceived from the outset to integrate Quick Group products such as our thrusters, fin stabilizers, windlasses, and other solutions, while remaining open to integration with systems from our partners and other companies.»
An open and scalable platform
QCentric uses industry-standard communication protocols, including NMEA 2000, as well as dedicated gateways and interfaces. This setup allows systems using Quick Group equipment to be connected and promotes integration with third-party joysticks and assisted maneuvering systems. The objective is to create an architecture flexible enough to be adopted on boats of different sizes without necessarily having to make substantial changes to the underlying system infrastructure.

After presenting the complete new range of QSY thrusters, the Pacific control interface, and the QCentric ecosystem in a world premiere at Cannes, the new technologies will also be brought to the Genoa International Boat Show, from October 1st to 8th, 2026, at the Quick Group stands in Upper Hall B, TG20-TH19, and Quay YE801A.
The debut in the US market is scheduled for the IBEX Show in Tampa, Florida, from October 6th to 8th, 2026, at booth 3-1547.
