Absolute introduces the new Navetta 50 “Calypso”: freedom, autonomy, and design

In Homeric legend, Calypso is the nymph who holds Ulysses on her island, suspending and stretching time amid beauty, protection, and seduction. A place far from the world, where the sea becomes both refuge and a promise of freedom. It is precisely this timeless image that inspires the latest creation by Absolute Yachts, the renowned Italian shipyard and leader in the construction of luxury yachts from 47 to 73 feet. We are talking about the new Absolute Navetta 50 “Calypso”, a yacht capable of delivering a deeply rewarding cruising experience in a compact, manageable format designed for those who wish to enjoy the sea with complete autonomy.

One of the three models of the Generation 2026, the Navetta 50 Calypso masterfully combines contemporary lines, surprisingly generous volumes for its category, and advanced technical solutions, while preserving the DNA of the Navetta range. A project born from a simple and precise idea: to simplify onboard management and make single-handed operation by the owner possible, without ever sacrificing comfort, design, or build quality.

Unconstrained exteriors: flexibility and comfort by Absolute.

The flybridge is one of the key design focal points of the Navetta 50. Completely free of level changes from bow to stern, it is conceived as a true open-air living space to be enjoyed at any time of day. It features a spacious and welcoming dining area, a fully equipped bar unit with refrigerator, ice maker, and barbecue, as well as comfortable seating alongside the helm station, allowing guests to actively share the cruising experience with the owner. Designed as a natural extension of the salon, the cockpit also reflects Absolute’s latest design philosophy, characterized by large opening glass surfaces, modular furnishings, and a flexible layout that promotes complete continuity between interior and exterior spaces.

Absolute aesthetics on board the Navetta 50: continuity, light, and functionality

The interiors of the Navetta introduce the new Absolute aesthetic, based on light wood essences, top-level finishes, and constant contact with the outside environment. Specifically, the salon is characterized by full-height windows that not only provide uninterrupted views of the sea but also flood the spaces with an abundance of natural light. The galley, positioned aft, is designed to efficiently serve both the interior living area and the cockpit, reinforcing the flow between spaces and making life on board more seamless. The helm station, located to starboard, ensures excellent visibility and integrates a side door providing direct access to the side deck—a solution typically found on larger yachts, here adopted to further facilitate single-handed operation.

Night area: space, comfort, and uncompromised design

Below deck, the Navetta 50 confirms Absolute’s vocation for comfort and livability. The forward owner’s cabin reinterprets Absolute’s stylistic tradition in a contemporary key: the diagonally positioned bed improves ergonomics and the usability of the space, while the large sea-level windows enhance natural light and strengthen the sense of connection with the outside. The en-suite bathroom features a separate shower and is complemented by a walk-in wardrobe and numerous custom storage units, ensuring above-average stowage capacity. Amidships, the VIP cabin impresses with its generous volumes and headroom, effectively making it a second suite. Completing the night area is a third guest cabin with twin beds, as well as a single crew cabin which, when needed, can be converted into an additional guest berth.

Just like Calypso, who in legend suspended time through the delights of her island, Absolute’s Navetta 50 creates a yachting experience that goes beyond simple cruising. On board, comfort, safety, and privacy blend seamlessly with the latest technologies, turning every outing into a precious moment to be lived to the fullest. The Navetta 50 will make its official debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 alongside the other two models of the Generation 2026: Navetta 66 The Absolute Aurora and Navetta 58 The Absolute Andromeda.
