Aquila Catamarans successfully concluded its participation in the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2025, unveiling the brand-new Aquila 36 Molokai in its world premiere and the refined Aquila 46 Yacht in its U.S. premiere. The event, held from October 29 to November 2, provided the perfect stage for the Clearwater-based shipyard’s full range, which also showcased the Aquila 54 Yacht, 50 Yacht, 47 Molokai and 42 Coupe, reaffirming steady growth and an ever-broader vision of the international market.
Aquila Catamarans, world debut for the 36 Molokai
The new Aquila 36 Molokai made its world debut as a sport-fishing catamaran designed to offer the perfect balance of offshore performance, comfort and practicality. Measuring 11.63 meters in length with a beam of 3.59 meters, the Molokai 36 stands out for its double-stepped hull, its infused vinylester construction with carbon-fiber reinforcements, and a full carbon hardtop that ensures both rigidity and lightness.
The boat can be powered by twin 300 hp Mercury V8 engines, or by optional V10 versions with 400, 425 or 500 hp, unleashing the full potential of a sporty catamaran built to take on even the most demanding offshore runs. With a full-load displacement of about 8,800 kilos and 1,924 liters of fuel, it offers generous range, while the 508-gallon tanks allow for long days of fishing or cruising with no compromises.
The single-level deck provides seamless movement from bow to stern and excellent access to the water. At the stern, the central hatch with integrated dive ladder makes it easy to get in and out of the water, while the tuna door and bait-prep station underscore the boat’s sport-fishing DNA.
The enclosed cabin, accessed from the starboard side, offers a comfortable space for two people, featuring a double berth, toilet and sink. The area can be air-conditioned thanks to an optional package, making overnight stays on board possible.
