Aquila Catamarans at the International Multihull Show

Aquila Catamarans has confirmed its participation in the upcoming edition of the International Multihull Show, set to take place from April 22 to 26 in the stunning setting of La Grande-Motte, France. This promises to be a particularly significant presence for the brand, marked by the European debut of the all-new Aquila 50 Sail—the shipyard’s first sailing model—alongside three power models: the Aquila 50 Yacht, the 46 Coupe, and the 32 Sport.

For this year’s edition, the shipyard is preparing to welcome visitors in a new exhibition area at stand P1, featuring an elegant lounge overlooking the dock, designed to make onboard visits even more accessible.

Let’s take a closer look at the models that will be on display at the French boat show.

Aquila 50 Sail

As mentioned above, the undisputed star of the event will be the brand-new Aquila 50 Sail, making its European debut following its launch at the recent Miami International Boat Show. Developed in collaboration with J&J Design, this first model in Aquila’s Sail range clearly reflects the shipyard’s stylistic language, offering generous and functional spaces, solutions aimed at ensuring maximum onboard comfort, and build quality that stands out in the segment.

Among the most distinctive features of the project is the forward cockpit, conceived as a large social and relaxation area while underway—perfect for dining, sunbathing, or simply enjoying time at sea. Direct access from the flybridge to the bow area allows for easy movement between the different levels of the boat, while the saloon and galley offer a bright and modern environment, defined by refined design and large panoramic windows.

Below deck, the Aquila 50 Sail offers multiple configurations, from four to six cabins, all with independent access, private bathrooms with full-height separate showers, ample storage, and generous headroom. The owner’s cabin, in particular, is designed as a private and comfortable retreat, enhanced by large side windows that amplify the sense of openness to the sea.

From a technical standpoint, the model also shows great flexibility, with the option to choose between traditional diesel engines or the Hybrid Ocean Drive system, which enables silent electric propulsion and a “silent ship” mode at anchor.

50 Yacht

Alongside the sailing version, Aquila will also showcase its power counterpart, the 50 Yacht—a catamaran with a strong personality that combines robust aesthetics with offshore cruising capability. Its styling draws inspiration from the explorer yacht world, featuring a high freeboard and a profile that certainly does not go unnoticed. Various layout options allow owners to customize the yacht to their cruising style, while sophisticated finishes and large panoramic windows ensure breathtaking views and exceptional comfort.

The exterior spaces are designed to enhance life outdoors: the bow features a large sunpad and seating integrated into the bulwarks, while the aft deck hosts a bar area directly connected to the saloon and galley. Inside, the spacious saloon includes a comfortable U-shaped seating area and a large sofa on the starboard side.

The flybridge, very spacious, is the ideal place for social moments outdoors and features a fully equipped, high-end helm station, with direct access to the bow via a starboard-side opening. Owners can also opt for a second internal helm station, particularly useful in bad weather.

The sleeping area includes three cabins, including a full-beam master cabin arranged on a single level, along with a practical utility room. Alternatively, the owner can opt for a four-cabin version with an optional crew cabin.

The yacht is CE-certified in Category A (Ocean) and built using vinylester resin infusion technology, ensuring strength and structural rigidity. Among the technical hallmarks of the Aquila range is the bulbous bow with a foam core, designed to improve stability, increase buoyancy in the forward sections, and reduce pitching in rough seas.

The Aquila 50 Yacht is also available with the Aquila Hydro Glide Foil Assist system, originally developed for the 36 Sport and now extended to several models in the range.

46 Coupe

Among the most interesting models in the Power line is the Aquila 46 Coupe, a catamaran that combines yacht-level comfort with outstanding sporty performance. Winner of the Yacht Style Awards 2025 in the “Motor Catamarans under 15 meters” category and nominated for both the European Power Boat of the Year and the Foil Awards, the 46 Coupe features a generous beam that allows for interior volumes rarely found on boats of this length.

The spacious cabins and large side windows offer privileged views of the water, while the salon is distinguished by a large electrically opening roof that, on fine days, transforms the interior into a bright, open space.

The protected foredeck offers a comfortable social area for four people, while aft there is a bar area with a serving window connected to the galley, along with two large sunpads.

From a technical perspective, the 46 Coupe comes standard with the Aquila Hydro Glide semi-foil system in carbon fiber, delivering up to 40% greater fuel efficiency compared to traditional monohulls, as well as excellent handling thanks to its double-stepped hull.

Aquila 32 Sport

Completing the fleet on display in La Grande-Motte is the Aquila 32 Sport, a more compact offering designed to deliver outstanding versatility on the water. Its wide and stable hull allows for comfortably hosting several guests on board, while the many social areas—starting with the forward section that converts into a sunpad—make it ideal for relaxing days at sea.

It also comes well equipped for entertainment, including a multi-zone Bluetooth audio system with six 6-inch Fusion speakers, along with numerous cup holders distributed throughout the deck.

For overnight stays, the boat features a double cabin on the port side and an electric toilet.

Standard propulsion is provided by twin Mercury Verado V6 engines rated at 225 hp, upgradeable to 300 hp with joystick control. The helm station integrates a 4-inch Mercury VesselView display with active trim control, power-assisted steering, switches, USB and AC outlets, and a wide range of additional equipment.

Aquila’s presence at the International Multihull Show will therefore be a comprehensive one, underlining the brand’s commitment to strengthening its position in the catamaran market, with models designed to meet a wide range of cruising needs, both under sail and power.
