BÉNÉTEAU GRAN TURISMO 38: WHEN FRENCH EXPERIENCE MEETS ITALIAN STYLE

Elegance commits to sportsmanship, in a happy and successful marriage.

In Bénéteau Gran Turismo 35 nothing is missing.

Comfort and high performances are typical of the French brand, while the layout simple timeless elegance is by Andreani Design, the Lombard studio which has already collaborated with Bénéteau several times.

The result is a very refined boat, with slim lines and wide balanced volumes, an elegant hardtop converting into a spoiler for a more dynamic navigation.

When, in December 2010, the boat was presented at the Boat Show of Paris, it impressed everyone.

This 30-foot boat offers in fact many reasons to impress: first of all, the very competitive price.

High performances are assured not only by the good distribution of volumes and light lines but also by the Airstep system, a ventilation system invented by Bénéteau placed below the hull to allow fluidity.

This technology, combined with two Volvo D4 300 engines, allows to reach a maximum speed of 35 knots.

Another interesting detail is the absence of a sunbathing platform, which is usually available on flyers. But the shipowner can create a solarium by lowering the table and adding some cushions. But the choice of an “optional” sunbathing plan is not accidental because the key word is only one: conviviality.

A cockpit to stay together

Originality is the main feature in the cockpit, which invests a lot in the concept of a very convivial hall. The room hosts a big table (which can be lowered in order to enter into the engine room), surrounded by cushioned benches which can host up to 10 people.

The external kitchen area is advanced towards the control room, in order to not interrupt the convivial atmosphere.

The pilot house is wide and equipped with many shelves for the different necessary equipments. The captain will enjoy a very comfortable two-seater armchair, flanked by another seat for an eventual co-pilot.

Interiors are bright and airy: windows are in fact big and the hardtop can be opened to enjoy the marine breeze or  sun when weather is good.

Doors open thanks to a “on-rail” opening system.

Comfortable and bright spaces

Below deck (you climb down on the left) interiors are not less fine or interesting than exteriors.

A lot of portholes let light enter inside, while the warm colour of the wooden decorations and the clear fabrics make the atmosphere cozy.

Portside, there is a living area with sofas, wall units and a table.

At starboard, there is a refined and well-equipped kitchen.

Mahogany can be replaced by oak wood, depending on your tastes or desires.

Finally, there are two cabins and a bathroom. The fore shipowner’s cabin is an example of the Bénéteau’s elegance, with its rich furniture and a layered “façon parquet” floor.

The guest cabin is a little more backward but it is as cozy and comfortable as the shipowner’s one.

The bathroom is near the stairs and it is fully equipped.

Bénéteau Gran Turismo 38 doesn’t disappoint the quality standards of the French ship builder and it impresses with its typical features and its excellent price
