C-Tender 55 S: technical launch for this years’s most interesting boat

Just a few days ago, the highly anticipated technical launch of the C-Tender 55 S took place. This is the first model from the namesake shipyard—specialized in fully custom yacht construction—to be equipped with surface drive propulsion.

The boat, we remember, boasts a stellar team: under the supervision of Mauro Corvisieri, the project includes Davide Zerbinati overseeing the construction management, Francesco Rogantin of NAMES handling naval engineering, and Valentino Gabriele who, together with Paolo Tamburini (the shipyard’s lead designer), developed the exterior and interior design.

Named Little Ram Runner by its American owner, the yacht already reached speeds close to 40 knots during initial testing—a remarkable achievement considering this is a yacht weighing over twenty-seven tons, nearly seventeen meters in length and five meters in beam.

During several days of sea trials, the yacht proved capable of planing at just twelve knots and showed impressive agility during turns. On one of the test days, sea conditions were rough, with waves exceeding one and a half meters, yet the C-Tender 55 S demonstrated excellent comfort even in such conditions.

Its maneuverability in port was also outstanding, thanks to the top-of-the-line Xenta systems installed on board, allowing the yacht to be controlled effortlessly with a joystick.

“In my life, I’ve built many boats, even significantly larger ones, but the emotional involvement that came with building the C-Tender 55 S truly moved me – says Mauro Corvisieri, founder of the shipyardThe owner—one of the most knowledgeable people I’ve ever met—was also deeply involved throughout the construction process, participating actively in the weekly updates and through his appointed representative, who effectively became part of the project team”.

The owner of the new C-Tender 55 S is a passionate and highly experienced person who chose C-Tender precisely for the opportunity to extensively customize his yacht. Little Ram Runner will primarily be used as a chase boat for his villa in the Hamptons.
