C-Tender 74 Open: AI, design and nautical architecture

From the creative mind of Mauro Corvisieri – founder and head designer of the Custom Boat shipyard, and one of the most innovative yacht designers on the current boating scene – comes a new creation that blends contemporary design, functionality, and innovation. We’re talking about the brand-new C-Tender 74 OPEN, a revolutionary yacht conceived to redefine the boating experience from the earliest design stages and destined to become a new benchmark in luxury yachting.

What began as a visionary intuition in 2020 with the Senses project has now become a real yacht that doesn’t simply represent a natural evolution of the original concept, but an authentic statement of style and freedom, aiming to offer a completely new way of experiencing the sea.

The C-Tender 74 OPEN was born with a clear goal: to offer the owner and guests 100% usability of all spaces, thanks to an open, functional, and radically contemporary architecture. Also available in the FLY version, the new model by Custom Yacht is built entirely in aluminum, a material that not only adds a touch of elegance but also allows for total customization, with no limits in terms of layout, style or configuration. This gives the fortunate owner the chance to bring to life a truly unique yacht, crafted around their real needs.

Naturally, great attention has also been given to performance. The C-Tender 74 can even be handled by a single person. In addition to IPS propulsion, it can be equipped with surface drives or a traditional shaft line, offering maximum freedom in technical configuration.

C-Tender 74 Open and AI: the new frontier of bespoke design

Designing a C-Tender 74 Open today means going beyond many traditional concepts tied to the creative process. If until not long ago customization relied on static renderings and conventional simulations, the integration of artificial intelligence now radically redefines this process, taking it to a surprisingly realistic level.

The tailor-made experience becomes more real, immersive and personal. Thanks to the AI technologies the shipyard is investing in, the owner can virtually step aboard his 74 Open before construction even begins: every hull line, every material, every aesthetic choice takes shape in an advanced digital environment, modeled around their preferences and capable of offering a faithful preview of the final result.

No more simple technical drawings or static images: with AI visualizations, the future owner will be able to walk through the open cockpit, assess deck usability, customize materials, configurations, furnishings and layouts, and discover every space, volume and play of light as if already on board.

With this approach, the shipyard collaborates with a network of designers and architects who work by integrating cutting-edge tools such as Unreal Engine and Unity 3D to recreate photorealistic immersive environments; BIM modeling and augmented reality to configure every detail with millimetric precision; interactive touch tables and digital showrooms that allow the project to be shared and modified in real time, anywhere in the world. In this way, the owner becomes an active part of the creative process: every choice is no longer just imagined or commissioned, but lived, tested and fully understood.

However, the digital experience does not replace craftsmanship. On the contrary, it enhances it, making every decision more informed, more personal and more exciting — right up to the launch, and beyond.

Adding further value to the project is the collaboration with Paolo Tamburini of Domus Yacht Design, a leading name in the contemporary yacht design scenario. Tamburini created the immersive videos dedicated to the C-Tender 74, using the potential of artificial intelligence to transform each concept into a true emotional journey inside the yacht.

With the C-Tender 74 OPEN, high-end yachting enters a new era — one in which design, technology and vision come together to create a more personal, freer and more advanced boating experience.
