Compasso d’oro, honorable mention for Quick Arcipelago Capsule collection

Prestigious recognition for Quick spa, the Italian company specializing in the production and marketing of marine equipment, which has received an honorable mention at this year’s Compasso d’Oro edition. The Ravenna-based company, a global leader in its sector, was awarded the coveted prize for its Arcipealago Capsule Collection, a line of lamps designed by Parisotto + Formenton Architetti, as part of the Quick Marine Lighting brand collection.

Here is how Quick spa describes the award-winning collection at the Compasso d’Oro: “An idea of light inspired by the sea: nautical inspirations born from timeless and classic reminiscences translate into evocative forms with a strongly contemporary language. Arcipelago consists of several families of lamps for nautical interior lighting. This collaboration arose from the convergence of shared visions on contemporary nautical lighting and a mutual love for the sea”.

In the spirit of Made in Italy, the Arcipelago capsule features a design that is both evocative and essential, bridging technical and decorative lighting and proposing a new balance between design, quality, and engineering. In the Parisotto + Formenton’s creation, references to maritime lamps and lanterns become minimal volumes that embrace light and bring on board a current style that innovates while honoring tradition.

More specifically, the Arcipelago collection includes three families of lamps that have been primarily designed for indoor environments, composed of compact downlights and wall and reading lights, but the collection is set to expand with additional lighting fixtures characterized by essential forms and meticulous attention to detail. Parisotto + Formenton and Quick Marine Lighting aim to bring new, rigorous lighting with clean and sharp lines to boats, reflecting contemporary design. The awards ceremony took place at the ADI Design Museum in Milan last June 20^th..The association celebrated its 70th anniversary, while the Compasso d’Oro reaches its 28th edition, recognizing the excellence of Made in Italy and international achievements in technology, design, innovation, and sustainability.
