KARNIC 600: ABSOLUTE PREVIEW AT NAUTIC 2016

Small, affordable, well-refined. Karnic 600 is the typical Mediterranean motorboat for family cruises. Two beds and a bathroom below deck, a large astern cockpit and a wide fore sunbathing platform. In a word, great functionality and comfort.

The boat, which will reach the market in early 2017, is also available in SL 602 version, which envisages a different version of the fore deck: instead of a small walk-around  deckhouse able to ensure more room “downstairs”, here the yard has decided to enlarge the sunbathing area.

The central “block” is well-conceived: a double pilot’s seat and, just behind it, a small kitchen equipped with a sink, a stove and, below, the necessary room for a 12V fridge or a large cooler.

As usual, one among the main strengths of Karnic is the interesting quality-price ratio: price varies, in fact, from 28.720 euros (only the boat, VAT included) up to 44.130 euros if equipped with Selva 150 Killer Whale XSR engine, Vat included. The maximum power reaches 175 HP but, considering the overall displacement of 1000 kg, we find Killer Whale XSR good enough.

Born in 1993, Karnic is a Cypriot yard producing about 300 boats a year, with a product list of 8 ranges (Smart, Open, Storm, SL, Bluewater and Cruiser) and 30 models, from Smartone 48 (with an overall length of 4.9 m; we already tested her) to 2965 Cruiser Line (10.30 m).

The largest models of Bluewater and Cruiser lines are pushed by Volvo Penta inboard motors, while the rest of the production uses Volvo Penta outboards from 40 up to 250 HP (click here to read the complete sea trial of Karnic 22 SR)
