MIAMI. MERCURY DRAWS A RAINBOW OF COLOURS

Yellow, red, white, orange… a complete painter palette seems to have descended upon the new Mercury liveries in Miami.

The American company plays at home (it’s the leading brand in the USA) and ventures more than any other company. Mercury headquarters clarify that the choice doesn’t come from the mother company, which, however, likes the characterizations introduced by dealers and owners desiring to find the best combinations between outboards bodies and boat tissues, hulls and furnishings.

It’s a chromatic customization which describes the sense of belonging inspiring the Mercury family, together with the aesthetic sense of freedom and expressiveness which enhances technical qualities happily and seems to say: ” here, we’re the first and reasonably show off”.

In terms of informal marketing, too, the brush strokes Mercury owners and dealers gave their engines have certainly stood out, attracting the attention of the wider public.

We refer to those enthusiasts who crowded the Marina Stadium, the largest part of the Miami International Boat Show, to discover and appreciate boats which, at least in terms of size, seem to be more accessible than the megayachts exhibited along Collins Avenue.

Precisely this section of the boat show has also hosted many manufacturers of engines, electronic systems and any kind of boat equipment which are not only side-complements but also, as in the case of engines and control units, a source of hours spent in dreaming of a more powerful engine and many problems when the beloved engine starts to show signs of aging and mistreatments.

From great outboards to the powerful motorizations exhibited on the transoms of open and fisher boats, classic and sporty motorboats, almost every corner of the exhibition has been marked by the intense Mercury colour shades.
