The new New 12 watermaker by Osmosea features a practical touch screen

New 12 is one of the flagship products of Osmosea, a Sicilian company that has been designing, producing, and distributing reverse osmosis watermakers and desalination systems for fifteen years. At the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival, the company unveiled a new version of this energy recovery automatic watermaker, developed to facilitate management.

“We’ve been producing the New 12 watermaker for a long time, and we felt it was time for a redesign – explained Mario Alagna, the owner of Osmosea, at their booth at the Cannes Yachting Festival, where the product was prominently displayed – The new layout of New 12 allows for much easier maintenance and features an innovative color touch screen panel, which makes it much easier for the end user to operate”. More specifically, the panel includes a set of practical functions such as programmable automatic stop (based on liters or time), and readings for pressure, fouling level, freshwater production, and salinity.

Compact and easy-to-install thanks to its one-piece structure, the automatic New 12 watermaker features a special pressure intensifier patented by Osmosea. The watermakers in the New 12 line can manage and perform functions without the need for an operator, have direct power supply from batteries, and are equipped with purifiers for tank water.

New 12 is available in various models, depending on the size of the boat it is intended for, whether it’s a small vessel or a superyacht. Its accessories include a pressure intensifier, a stainless steel feed pump with a brushless motor, pre-filters and post-filters, a flushing system, an automatic discharge system for non-compliant water, a carbon filter for flushing, a remote touch screen panel, control units, and an installation kit (tubes, fittings, and hose clamps). An optional maintenance kit is also available, consisting of replacement filters, a filter wrench, and cleaning and winterization products.

“We are proud to have presented the new version of the New 12, which fits into the range of Osmosea’s automatic watermakers – commented Alagna – We received excellent feedback from visitors, both private and professional. The turnout at the Cannes Yachting Festival is always great, and the responses to our products have been positive”. This success is attributed to Osmosea’s constant commitment to customer satisfaction, which is reflected in every aspect of the company’s operations, from the precision of production processes to post-sale attention. “Thanks to the synergy between passion and technology, we offer cutting-edge solutions for water treatment, turning challenges into opportunities for the future”, Alagna concluded.
