NEW DUFOUR EXCLUSIVE RANGE. INTERVIEW WITH PAOLO SERIO

The 56th Genoa International Boat Show was a great success and the opportunity to draw the appropriate conclusions about the event and boating in general. We met Paolo Serio, Marketing and Product Manager of Dufour, on new Dufour 56 Exclusive, evolution of the popular 560.

The remarkable restyling work on this 17-metre-boat designed by Umberto Felci’s Studio starts from the topsides, with new chines and windows, and continues with a long series of small improvements, especially in the deck, with the aim to increase the sense of luxury and exclusivity of the boat. 

At present, Dufour’s production consists of 4 ranges: Grand Large (pure cruiser boats with a length between 9 and 15 metres), Performance (36′, 40 and 45′), Drakkar, with the small 24′ and Exclusive, which includes 56 and upcoming Dufour 63.

The luxurious details we can see on Dufour 56 are a small glimpse of what we’ll see on Exclusive 63, whose official presentation will take place at Dusseldorf Boat Show next January. Designed by Umberto Felci, this boat represents the definitive entrance of the French shipbuilder into the “big boats” world. Among the main features, an innovative deck plan, a 5-metre-long cockpit and an explicit inspiration to borderliners, suspended between sailing and motorboats. All pushed by a powerful propulsion system which will ensure a 11-knot cruising speed.
