NY24: design, luxury and elegance like no other. If you’re thinking about the beauty of the lines of an amazing boat that is unparalleled on the Italian yachting scene, name Nerea Yacht. A shipyard created by a highly talented person who has been training for over twenty years in the service of the big names, such as the Ferretti Group. An avant-garde Sicilian businessman, Dario Messina set sail for the Adriatic coast at a very young age. He made his career in Fano, where for over three years he has been working with Nerea Yacht on a range of stunning boats, the NY24.

The exquisite design of the NY24

Nerea Yacht puts the perfect size for a day-cruiser in the water. With the addition of technology, also in terms of domotics applied to the boat: an innovative audio-video system that can be activated with a click, natural lighting and the study of artificial lighting that has also been properly thought out in the cockpit. Eco-friendly materials are chosen for the finishes. Oltremateria, they explain, “is a fireproof, breathable, frost-proof, resistant, flexible, recyclable material, free of cement, epoxy resins and substances that are toxic to humans and the environment”.

Let’s go back to the primacy of design, because there’s nothing better on the yachting scene. Think of the Dutch school of embellished dayboats. But in the opinion of many, these are not equivalent to the Nerea Yachts. The NY24 is a 7.35-meter-long jewel that can even be towed by an SUV.

Manoeuvrability and small dimensions go hand in hand. But interior liveability is not taken for granted. The NY24 is designed like a spider of the seas, but with generous space.

The “special V” hull is the result of a crossing of lines that on the profile meet a moderate and sporty aggressiveness. The increased waterline surface guarantees comfort and safety even in rough seas. Safety and adaptability to the shallow waters of the Mediterranean, thanks to the reduced draught, are both guaranteed.

The new custom-made pilot seat by Nerea Yacht

All the furnishings on the NY24 are covered in the finest upholstery. A rare harmony between hull and deck. Nerea Yacht, together with Davide Bernardini and Alessio Battistini of IdeaelITALIA, developed a collaboration that resulted in the new “totally custom” pilot seat. The design is truly special, incorporating the “A” stylistic element of the company logo into its overall lines.

It’s a very ergonomic seat, with a tilting portion, so that you can sit comfortably at the helm even when standing. The excellent result comes from a careful study, which has considered in detail the padding, the basic structure and the position adjustment mechanisms. As we were saying, the seat can be customized to the maximum, choosing from an infinite range of colours of eco-leather fabrics. Seen in detail, it features top-quality tailoring, such as the double stitching on the backrest. Added to this is the stainless steel footrest for added comfort when cruising.

Extreme Customization

The customization offered by the shipyard is so extensive that there are no apparent limits. Thus the foredeck can be a single large dominant surface with the hatchway in the centre, as in the Gran Turismo version. Or it can shrink to give the space of the centreboard, which is enlarged by increasing the number of seats in a cockpit that is essentially symmetrical fore and aft of the steering console, as in the “Limo” version.

NY24: an exquisite cabin

Below deck, the owner and his guest are welcomed into a large storage sofa which, when converted, becomes the bed of dreams for nights at sea. The cabin also features a concealed toilet compartment. And natural light floods in through the windows in the boat’s profile.

The helm station is imposing. Surrounded by a large smoked windscreen that offers a protective embrace for the owner or the lady owner. Life on board continues in the cockpit, a niche of comfort with a large aft sofa attached and protected by the bulwarks.

At the stern the beach area is completely free, because the engines are sterndrive: a Volvo Penta D3 220/DPS HP Diesel engine + Aquamatic DP-H duoprop. Or a Volvo Penta Diesel D4 300/DPH HP + Aquamatic DP-H duoprop. As for performance: 38 knots top speed and 28 for weekend cruising with moderate consumption.

The NY24 is a VIP day-cruiser because she has all the features of a party boat. But in reality she is very different.
