RIO YACHTS COLORADO 56: THE COLORADO “GETS LONGER”

The Rio Yachts Colorado 56 is the “model year 2015” evolution of the Colorado 54. Compared to her predecessor, this model introduces three new elements. First of all, the hydraulic swimming platform is larger and can accommodate tenders or jet skis comfortably. Then, shaft drive motorization comes back with different options: Cummins QSM 11 -715 Zeus, Volvo Penta D11-725 or MAN R6 8001 engines (the twin Cummins engines deliver a top speed of 35 knots, a cruising speed of 28 knots and a fuel consumption of 240 l/h). Finally, design shows Mediterranean-Italian colours openly inspired by the light and shades of the sea, totally different from those of the previous version.

The Colorado 56 replicates the layout of her predecessor, with an exterior dinette equipped with an adjustable table, a convertible sofa that can be easily transformed into an additional sun pad and a folding wet bar with stoves and sink.

A large curved crystal door with mirror finish divides the cockpit from the wheelhouse that, in its turn, is equipped with a glass sliding hard top surrounded by some glass windows. The standard pilot station includes a double seat for both pilot and co-pilot and a multifunction touchscreen plotter. A U-shaped sofa and a table complete the layout of this area.

Below deck, a fully-equipped galley and two double cabins welcome passengers in highly comfortable spaces. Interior furniture and design are the result of an interesting collaboration with iconic Italian brands like Armani Casa Texile by Rubelli (textiles), Besenzoni (pilot station) and Antonlini (marble surfaces).
