Rio Yachts genoa boat show
Rio Yachts will join the next Genoa Boat Show with two iconic yachts and a premiere
This year, Rio Yachts, the Italian shipyard born born on the shores of Lake Iseo in 1961 and a regular guest to both the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Genoa International Boat Show, will take part in only the Italian event with two iconic models and a great novelty.
Let’s start with the two well-known boats, highly appreciated on the day-cruiser market. The motor yachts that will be exhibited by the Italian brand at the 60th Genoa Boat Show, dock S (the official Rio’s booth since 5 years) are the Sport Coupé 44 and the Paranà 38.
Based on some aesthetic and functional elements of her successful predecessor, the Colorado 44, the Sport Coupé 44 is a sporty and high-performance (the most commonly installed engine options are Cummins QSB 6.7 and Volvo Penta IPS 600) hard-top yacht of over 14 meters in length with uncompromising comfort and liveability.
The helm station has a glass sliding roof, a side window and long side glazing that offer great views.
The stern platform is spacious with optional hydraulic controls to lift the tender or the jet ski.
Interiors include a lounge area (that can be customised, with the possibility to include a laundry room, an office or an additional galley), three cabins (6 beds) and two bathrooms. Panoramic windows, just above the waterline, allow in plenty of natural light.
The other model on display will be the 2020 restyled version of the Paranà 38, which we had the pleasure of testing a few months ago on Lake Iseo and which has definitely impressed us with her classic and sporty dual soul.
The first innovation lies in the new hull windows that make the interiors even brighter as well as a totally redesigned cockpit that offers greater comfort on board.
The almost total opening of the soft top transforms the boat in an open-air loft, where, when necessary, you can have lunch sheltered from the sun during the day or enjoy outdoor dining at night.
The hull of the Paranà 38 has soft and sleek lines that the deck house, with its aerodynamic desing, follows, giving this coupe a really enterprising and dynamic character.
In conclusion, 12 meters of elegance and excellent performance, guaranteed by two fuel-efficient Volvo Penta D4-300 sterndrive engines.
The new Paranà 38 is a fast, exciting and extraordinarily comfortable coupé, suitable for Mediterranean cruising with family or friends.
At the Genoa Boat Show (October 1-6), the Italian shipyard will also present an absolute premiere. Named Daytona, it’s a 10-meter outboard yacht, of which no details has been unveiled yet. Needless to say, there is much curiosity around this new creation.
