Suzuki Marine
Great world debut at Genoa Boat Show for Suzuki which, in its boundless stand in pavilion B, has unveiled its new 4-cylinder DF 150 AP and DF 175 HP outboards for the first time. The conference was taken by Masahiro Yamamoto, head of Marine Europe department.
They are installed with 2,867cc in-line four-cylinder DOHC (Double Over Head Camshaft) and variable valve timing. High 10.2:1 compression ratio provides increase in maximum torque and generates impressive acceleration.
The “brain” of the two new Japanese outboards is a 32-bit control unit which, through several sensors, analyzes a series of parameters connected to working in order to optimize it. Moreover, this process establishes the quantity of patrol that the multi-point injection system uses in combustion, according to the necessary amount of air.
This system is called Lean Burn and it generates an important improvement in fuel economy. The same system controls pulse, detonation and oxygen sensors, in addition to the eventual presence of water in the fuel and all the functions and inner control of operative parameters, always real-time, for the greatest reliability.
– Suzuki Keyless Start, an innovative starting solution, including an electronic key and an immobilizer function, which allows to start the engine just by pushing the start button every time the key is within one meter from the console.
– Suzuki Precision Control, a computer-base drive-by -wire system that replaces the mechanical control cables found in conventional control systems with electronic wiring that eliminates the source of friction and resistance
– Suzuki Selective Rotation, a smart simple solution which, through a special switch, turns a regular rotation outboard into a counter-rotation model with a counter rotational .
Finally, DF 150AP and DF 175 AP, infine, adopt the new colour “Pearl Nebular Black”, and new-born 3D stickers.
