NEW SUZUKI OUTBOARD MOTORS FINALLY ON THE MARKET

The Boat Show of Düsseldorf was a great opportunity to see the new Suzuki outboard motors, a real heap of innovation which astonished all the visitors for two main features: light (only 23.5 Kg) and the possibility to be placed vertically, horizontally and laterally. Today, all sailors who appreciated them at that occasion can buy them in Italy thanks to the distribution net of the company.

The line presented at Düsseldorf last January is made up of three outoboards of 4, 5 and 6 horsepower ( called DF4A, DF5A and DF6A). Before listing all their features, let’s discover the only peice of information we hadn’t never revealed: price.

Suzuki official price list communicates the prices (VAT included) of the three models:

SUZUKI DF4A: € 1,300

SUZUKI DF5A: € 1,490

SUZUKI DF6A: € 1,640

What makes these outboards particularly interesting is not only lightness and facility in stowing. The new Suzuki outboards have in fact more advanced use and reliability features.

The new handle and the new overturning system make them easier to carry and repair on the tender transom. The engine is easier to use thanks to a new dropping fuel supply system thanks to which it’s not necessary to inject fuel before the engine starting (and to empty the supply line later). An auto-recoiling starting system and the tilt’s one allow a simple use of the engine even to no-experts. Finally, the addition of an oil filter increases engine reliability.

The new outboards are provided with the typical Suzuki anticorrosion system which makes the alumium parts exposed to salted water stronger by strengthening the surface-finishing relationship (while making engine’s life longer)
