The Turkish shipyard VISIONF Yachts, a pioneer in the construction of next-generation catamarans, has launched a new unit of its full-electric carbon fiber catamaran, the E-Cat 80.
What’s new on board the second E-Cat 80
This second unit introduces a series of upgrades that further improve sustainability and comfort on board. The extended roof now accommodates eight additional solar panels, bringing the total to 62 and increasing power output to 24.8 kW per hour (+3.2 kW compared to the previous version). This allows the yacht to sail in complete self-sufficiency without relying on external energy sources. The flybridge has been enhanced with a jacuzzi to provide an even more exclusive experience. The interior layout now features five cabins instead of four, with the fifth designed as a dedicated children’s room but easily customizable according to the various owner’s needs.
Generous spaces and total versatility
Featuring a maximum beam of 10.92 meters and a length of 23.97 meters, the new VISIONF E-Cat 80 offers expansive living areas and can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests. In addition to the jacuzzi, the flybridge features four distinct lounge areas, an outdoor cinema, massage seating, and spacious sunbathing zones. The five-cabin configuration is ideal for large families, groups of friends, or charter activities. The crew also benefits from well-designed quarters: four berths, a dedicated living area, and a captain’s cabin with a private head, ensuring professional service without compromising guest privacy. The overall layout of the E-Cat 80 is, in any case, fully customizable.
Next-level tender garage
One of the highlights of the E-Cat 80 is its spacious 15 m² tender garage, equipped with a hydraulic stern door, electric winch, and fastening system. It can accommodate a second tender or two jet skis thanks to the tenderlift, turning the boat into a true floating playground.
New E-Cat 80, performance and sustainability
Thanks to its sleek and efficient twin-hull design, the E-Cat 80 proves highly maneuverable and performing water. The two 180 kW Danfoss motors, together with the bow thruster and stern thruster, ensure outstanding agility, a cruising speed between 6 and 8 knots, and smooth handling in all conditions. The fully electric propulsion system enables unlimited range under optimal conditions. When required, two 150 kW generators and a 5-ton fuel tank provide a range of over 1,000 nautical miles, offering backup power and greater efficiency at higher speeds.
