ITALIAN WIDER 150 MEGA YACHT HAS BEEN SOLD

We already told you about Wider 150 Genesi some months ago and we saw her in absolute preview at Monaco Yacht Show last September, charming and amazing in the anchor post opposite Port Hercule. If you, too, like this yacht and you have mind towards her for Christmas, you will have to skip it this time and wait for the next model. This astonishing big boat, a technological heap of 47 metres, has, in fact, been sold to a Canadian shipowner – assisted in the purchase by Golan Levi of Swell Yachting – seduced by the latest shipyard of Ancona.

Wider 150 presents all the typical comforts a master generally ask for to feel like home. Large and high windows surround the saloon on the main deck and the lower one, letting light the possibility to flood interiors and offer a breath-taking view on the sea.

The upper deck houses the Sky Lounge and a lunch zone equipped with sliding storable doors which give the sensation to have dinner outside while being sheltered.

On the astern part of the main deck, there are a huge external cockpit and an inner spacious saloon split into two living areas. In front of the saloon, a full-beam apartment (75 square metres) is entirely reserved for the master and includes a 4-square-metre terrace. The area is, in its turn, divided into two rooms: an office and a sleeping quarter which includes a walk-in closet and a large bathroom equipped with a 3-metre shower and a custom-made wengé pool.

The boat can receive guests in four wide suites (two VIP and 2 standard) with private bathroom,  one of which even offers a third storable bed. All rooms are welcoming and conceived for a potential use of the boat by charter companies.

Interior design is by Ideaeitalia, which created refined spaces adorned with Poltrona Frau leather and fabrics by Gentili Mosconi Home.

From the outside, what stands out is certainly the stern, especially because of its boundless beach club (90 sq.m) which works as a real oasis where to relax, sunbathe and have an easy access to sea. The contact with the marine environment is possible thanks to an inner exclusive 7-metre saltwater swimming pool. Moreover, thanks to the innovative Floating Launching System, the stern of Wider 150 converts into a hangar which can accomodate a design tender.

Wider 150 uses a diesel-electric propulsion system equipped with azimut pods. This is a smart system which controls and manages the power generated by four diesel generators and batteries, necessary to allow the yacht to sail and all comforts to work. The result is lower consumption and greater range.

The traditional engine room has been replaced by two separated units: the fore Power Generator Room and the stern Technical Room, which hosts the LiPo (Lithium polymer) batteries. This solution has allowed to free the central and larger part of the hull and create more spacious cabins in the stronger point of the yacht.

All on-board energy sources are controlled by the embedded Power Management System, which manages all the power coming from the quay, the engine-generator and batteries in order to distribute it to the propulsion system, interiors and batteries (if necessary).

Exclusive partner and supplier of the Power Management System is Emerson Industrial Automation.

WIDER 150 ensures a maximum speed of 14.1 knots. At a 13-knot cruising speed, sailing range is 2500 miles which can become 4700 at 10 knots. The yacht can also sail in Zero Emission Mode, that is by using only batteries, for a silent cruise and a 5-knot speed. This is the best solution for short cruises and it allows not to start generators and sail off in the morning with no problem.
