No longer a boat to be enjoyed only in summer, but a true space of freedom designed for cruising, travelling and living the sea in every season, with no geographical or time limits. This is the brand-new Sport Coupé 50, the latest model from Rio Yachts, conceived to meet the needs of today’s owners, who are increasingly focused on comfort, efficiency and versatility at sea. Measuring 15.24 metres in length, the newcomer will be officially presented in spring 2026, before making its international debut at the major boat shows in September of the same year.
The Sport Coupé 50 was born from a very specific market demand: a truly liveable boat, featuring an enclosed, comfortable saloon and suitable even for long-range cruising. No longer a yacht tied exclusively to the summer season, but a true “world boat”, capable of adapting to any climate and cruising context.
The fully enclosed saloon and the ability to control the interior temperature make the Sport Coupé 50 an ideal solution both for Mediterranean cruising and for passages in northern waters or hotter regions.
The new Rio Yachts Sport Coupé 50 in detail
Sporty and sleek, the exterior lines, once again penned by Marino Alfani, stand out for their elegance and dynamism, while the interiors are exceptionally bright and highly flexible.
The saloon, for example, is designed to offer maximum openness and connection with the outdoors, thanks to two large electrically opening side windows, a fully opening cockpit door and the standard louvre roof, which allow the space to be transformed in just a few moments from a completely open environment into a protected, air-conditioned area, always maintaining a strong connection with the outside. Below deck, the sleeping area features a total of three cabins. Amidships is the owner’s cabin, with direct access to the bathroom with a separate shower. Forward is the VIP cabin, with a bathroom accessible from the corridor and an independent shower. The layout is completed by a third cabin with two bunk beds, which can be converted on request into a crew cabin with separate access from the superstructure.
Among the elements with the strongest personality is the spiral staircase, inspired by the 1980s, open to the headlining and conceived not only as a functional solution but also as a true style statement. Also available on request is a full-height refrigerator positioned in the lower-deck corridor.
The deck layout adopts a hybrid solution between a walkaround and a raised bulwark with side decks, designed to ensure safety and ease of movement on board. The foredeck cockpit is equipped with integrated benches, a removable table and large-volume drains, ensuring safety even in rough sea conditions.
Aft, as standard, there is a garage for a compact tender, which can be configured on request to accommodate a jet tender with a dedicated launching and recovery system.
In terms of propulsion, Rio Yachts confirms a choice highly appreciated by owners: straight shaft line propulsion. The Sport Coupé 50 comes standard with twin 600 HP Cummins engines, with the option to choose the 715 HP version, allowing for a theoretical top speed of 35 knots. For both engine options, the yacht is also pre-fitted for a gyroscopic stabiliser.

The date is therefore set for next spring, when the new Sport Coupé 50 will hit the water, promising to represent a new interpretation of modern cruising according to Rio Yachts.
