BD56 wants to combine all the best of both sailing and motor boats and satify all those sailors who like sailing but don’t have enough time. Motor BD56 can reach 21 knots (it is provided with two 300 HP outboards). So, it allows to reach holiday destinations more or less slowly. Interiors are luxurious and comfortable.

Outboards offer some obvious advantages: they ensure high performances and they are very easy to drive thanks to their handly joystick. Their fuel use and storage have been evaluated by HPi, a British certifier.

The shipbuilder has decided to maintain the same manoeuvrability for sailing navigation: a folding mainsail on the boom, a furling autoturning jib and electric winches make manoeuvres very simple. The hull is made of vinylester resin, obtained through a vacuum-sealed technique, and it has a retractable keel to pass from 3.5 to 2.1 metres of draught.

The boat has some aggressive lines and a glass superstructure. The hall, on the same level of the cockpit, offers a 360-degree-view thanks to some electric doors, walls and windows.

Interiors can have two different layouts: with three double cabins – each cabin has its own private bathroom (two of these have even a separated shower); or with a large shipowner’s cabin and a guest cabin. In any case, there are many possibilities of customization.

The post-sales service offers a 5-year-warranty, valid anywhere in the world.
