Space, comfort and safety. These are the strong points of Bénéteau Oceanis 55, one of the most important boats ot its range for sizes and performances.

The clear tapered lines and the low barycenter reveal the intention to create a modern and fast boat, with excellent performances. Exteriors and interiors are wide and well-arranged for a very fluid navigation.

The standard engine, a Yanmar 75, allows a maximum speed of 10,5 knots and it will make any shipowner happy.

The huge inner and external spaces reveal the intention to enjoy comfort even with high perfomances.

In fact, Bénéteau has collaborated with two ” old friends”: Berret- Racoupeau Studio, which has designed the boat’s exteriors, and Nauta Design, which has designed the spaces below deck. The result is a very spacious and comfortable boat, conceived to meet the needs of everyone.

Bénéteau has wanted to pay more attention to the shipowner’s needs: so, the possibility to choose among three possible layouts, with two, three or even four cabins.

Large cockpit and enough space for everyone

The exteriors of Oceanis 55 are first of all characterised by big comfortable volumes. In the rear part, the upper stern becomes a huge bath platform thanks to an electric opening system.

The control rooms are two, with two steering wheels, and they are closed by two big comfortable sofas. Between the two seats there is a small convivial table .

The supports gathering the genoa winch – on the sides of the rudders – wink at comfort, by staying near the captains but without annoying those who want to seat in the cockpit during the cruise.

The boom sheet placed on a rollbar contributes to the project of a free spacious cockpit, while the halyard tops are out of the cockpit and they stop at the bow in order to be poorly visible.

So, everything has been planned precisely in order to make stay and manoeuvres as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

The comfortable gangways, the high handrails and the black methacrylate bands along the deck house are another evidence of the intention to offer great safety and elegance.

On the bow, on the contrary, designers have thought to all those who love sunbathing, by creating two big platforms.

The passage from outside to inside is regular, with the same elegant and uniform style.

Five steps divide the external spaces from the deck but you have the sensation to be in a unique room since volumes and style are very homogeneous.

A double series of squared portholes along the deck house offers a great brightness. Everything is conceived to offer comfort to the shipowner and his guests.

Interiors are cozy and familiar thanks to their regular height and the warm woods used for decorations.

Below deck, portside, there is a very equipped kitchen. The central living area hosts a big sofa, with two lateral seats which can be turned to let guests have lunch or dinner or to convert the sofa into an additional double bed. An extendable table completes the sitting room.

The chart work table – near the big sofa – gives a good idea of continuity with the living zone.

In the version with three cabins, there are two astern rooms and a starboard cabin with a direct entrance to the guest bathroom. The fore shipowner’s cabin  has a private bathroom, many spaces which can be used as wardrobe and a small desk in the corner where it is possible to write or study maps.

Bénéteau Oceanis 55 is fully qualified to meet any shipowner’s need in terms of comfort and efficiency.
