DIFFICULT MOORINGS… OR INCOMPETENT SKIPPERS

1 min read

When mooring is a disaster.

Difficult moorings are the main subject in the videos below which show the amazing challenges of some skippers (let us add “poorly skilled”) struggling with challenging moorings.

Sailing boats, motor yachts and rubber boats…. there’s enough for everyone!

Keeping a straight face in front of these scenes is impossible, like in the video above where an unlikely quartet tries to moor a sailing boat. Massive falls, failed attemps to keep balance and exercises to the bar…sorry, to the bow. In a nutshell, laughter is inevitable!

Equally funny is the video below, where a captain makes 6 incidents in less than 45 minutes.

A new record!

Sometimes, as shown by the video below, moorings become difficult because of “innocent” elements, such as a light breeze or rough sea.

Sometimes, on the contrary, conditions are perfect but the real problem is the skipper!

  1. It’s unfair to include Spellbound. Sometimes your dock hands mess up and you have to make up for it. With prop walk and no steering in reverse, you use forward bursts to steer. I didn’t see him hit anything. Why are people complaining?
