The revolutionary Explorer Yacht 62 conquers Düsseldorf

The first jewel of Explorer Yacht, a 62-foot luxury boat, has already won everyone over. Exhibited at Boot Düsseldorf late last January, it gained recognition for innovation and quality, convincing visitors and industry enthusiasts alike.

The Italian shipyard, which is the creative mastermind, has teamed up with the rigor of German finance, resulting in a new product for the boating market, which must satisfy 3 main aspects: top safety, innovation, modern, elegant and extremely custom lines.

These are the guidelines that are leading the new shipyard, LOY Srl, to offer the public innovative solutions and revolutionary boats, resulting from extensive research and development. For now the fleet has seen the creation of Explorer Yacht 62, but there is already a larger 92-foot model in the yard that will be released in about two years.

This 62-footer is striking in some respects: modern design, comfortable and luxurious interiors, a sense of practicality, and space… lots of space.

Exterior design: sporty and elegant

The layout is out-of-the-box, specially developed to improve livability on board throughout the year: comfort and elegance are the imperative for this Explorer Yacht.

At the stern, a large beach welcomes guests aboard and facilitates their access to the water; in the center is a large garage that can accommodate a tender or water toys such as surfboards, kayaks or seabobs, which opens with a practical upward-folding glass door. On either side of the garage are two small staircases of three steps each, located to the left and right of the storage compartment that allow access to the deck, from which there is also access to the crew cabin and engine room.

Aft of the main deck is a large sitting area with a coffee table and sofas that can be assembled by the owner; the dining area is slightly raised and boasts a large table and chairs. In the middle of the main deck, a staircase to the left leads to the lower deck and flybridge, while to the right is an interior lounge with sofas and pop-up television. The fore deck accommodates the corner galley to the left and the helm station to the right. This entire area, including the dining area is surrounded by large opening windows that give the feeling of space and uninterrupted contact with the sea.

In the bow triangle outside there is a small seat and convenient access to the anchor and windlass compartments provided: two for this model, to ensure as much stability as possible. To achieve this, a Seakeeper gyro stabilizer is mounted in addition to the anchor systems.

The flybridge is accessible thanks to the glass staircase that provides maximum visibility when maneuvering. This deck features the second helm station, which is usually the most used in boats of this size, another sitting area, a mini galley with hotplate and refrigerator, space for two sunbeds toward the stern, and a large lounging area forward. The cover is adjustable; in fact, the adjustable slats are convenient for getting the right balance between sun and shade as needed.

Explorer Yacht 62: comfortable and luxury interior

Descending the stairs to the right, towards the stern, is the master cabin, the largest, which in addition to a large double bed boasts a beauty station, a small table-study, a walk-in closet and a private head with separate shower.

master cabinForward on the right side of the corridor is the twin cabin, with two single beds, which can become a double on request; to the left is a small underslung hallway that, however, hides a surprise…an additional bed! Yes, every space has been used to the fullest, as I mentioned earlier, and here it was thought to add an emergency single bed, where however a six-foot person can fit comfortably. Moving forward there is space to the right and left for two bathrooms with showers and finally, in the bow, there is the VIP cabin with a comfortable double bed and two closets.

Acting as a common thread is space, the enormous feeling of spaciousness that this 62-footer gives; spending time on board feels like a much larger boat. This extra “air” is made possible by the huge windows that take center stage both on the main deck and in the cabins.

With an detailannual production of about 3-4 boats a year Explorer Yacht is already enjoying much success, and the next deliveries are scheduled for 2024.

The shipyard, whose logo features the head of an elephant, an animal that symbolizes power, strength and security, well represents the mission of these boats. The eyes, embellished with two aquamarines, add value to the yacht, and to the brand itself.

Explorer Yacht 62 was also crash tested and has been tested for 6 months to prove, and assure its owners, what it promised: comfort, livability and performance.

After winning over yachting enthusiasts at the Düsseldorf boat show, the shipyard is already preparing to exhibit at the FLIBS scheduled for next fall, thus trying to conquer the American market as well.
