The opening, this morning, of the 40th Cannes Yachting Festival was dominated by one among the leading groups in worldwide boat industry: Ferretti Group.
And not only because of the amount of boats on display Р25 in total, which represents the largest fleet joining the Cannes Yachting Festival Рbut, above all, because of six world premi̬res and record-breaking figures with which the group has presented its business and productive performance.
The six new concepts are the Ferretti Yachts 780, the Ferretti Yachts 920, the Pershing 9X, the 56’ Rivale, the Riva 100’ Corsaro, the Custom Line Navetta 33 and the restyling of the new Ferretti Yachts 550.
Among the novelties presented by the group, the Ferretti 920 undoubtedly stands out for her majestic size – almost 30 metres in length –  and luxurious interior and exterior design. In addition to boundless spaces, the 920 features a certain elegance based on spaces and areas providing with different degrees of usability.
The innovative forward section has been designed as an area devoted to conviviality, where spaces can be easily shared by all guests.
Another innovation is represented by the introduction of a wide body master suite on the deck. It’s the first time it has appeared on a Ferretti yacht!
The Ferretti 780 is the new 24-metre model that, through her elegant hull lines, replicates the stylistic feature of the three windows positioned out of the guest cabins, already used on the entire new range of the brand under 80 feet.
The flybridge reflects the typical Ferretti’ style with the implementation of a front and a side windshield in the steering console.
As for Pershing brand, the French boat show has seen the official world première of the new 9X, the second model of the “Generation X” line. In the construction of this maxi coupé, characterized by very sporty aggressive exterior lines, carbon and epoxy resin have played a very important role. As a result, the boat is significantly light and features very rich fittings alongside excellent sailing performances.
Technological innovations on board are impressive even in terms of handling and make this 90-foot yacht easily steerable.
Riva is a legendary name and the new model – the 100 Corsaro – couldn’t fail to gain applause at the moment of its presentation.
It’s a Fly model with very high standards in terms of comfort, performance, style and safety. The most astonishing element is the capacity of this model to combine majestic size with sporty design. More specifically, the wide body master suite is simply wonderful. Elegantly furnished, it dominates the whole forward section on the main deck.
Always for the Riva brand, that celebrates its 175th anniversary this year, Ferretti Group has proposed the new 56′ Rivale, a boat which reflects all the historic hallmarks of the brand, including careful focus on details and the use of valuable materials, such as glossy mahogany for interiors, natural teak for exteriors and precious leather. Furthermore, the group has announced the launch of a new model – the Riva 110 Dolcevita – whose presentation is scheduled to take place in 2018.
In Cannes, Ferretti Group has also presented the new model of the Custom Line range, the Navetta 33. Very stable while sailing also thanks to an innovative bulb, this superyacht features 4 different decks, all designed to provide both the owner and his guests with the highest comfort standards.
Finally, the group has introduced the restyling of the Ferretti Yacht 550.
The concept has wanted to enhance some innovative aspects, such as the three large glass windows equipped with portholes which flood cabins with natural light. Luxurious and elegant, interiors represent the highest expression of Made in Italy excellence.
In addition to the presentation of its new models, the first day of the Cannes Yachting Festival was also the occasion for the group to present 2016 business results. What was presented by Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi, together with Ferretti Sales Manager Stefano de Vivo, is an exciting collection of record-breaking figures.

As at August 31st 2017, Ferretti Group has collected orders for a total of 259 million euros, perfectly in line with the budget forecast for the current year. The Group orecasts to finish the year with a total order collection of 400 million euros and confirm the results already achieved in 2016. As at August 31st 2017, the Europe-Middle East-Africa area has given a 53% contribution to the overall amount of new orders while USA area has contributed for 28 % and Asia Pacific for 19%.
Net of taxes, outcome continues to be significantly positive: 16.5 million euros at August 31th 2017, with a +57% increase compared to 12 months ago.
