FORNITURE NAUTICHE ITALIANE, A SUCCESSFUL COMPANY

Italian boating seems to be living an important recovery after a long and troubled period of crisis. But who can really explain and prove this trend are equipment suppliers. They don’t sell the final product, the boat, but they perfectly know how many cleats, bilge pumps or winches they sell.

So, our meeting with Francesca Farina, Marketing and Communication Manager of FNI – Forniture Nautiche Italiane – at Genoa Boat Show last week was very interesting, and not only to discover the story of the company (in the picture above, Francesca with her parents Nenella Montanari and Sandro Farina, the founders) seated in Cecina, Tuscany.

Francesca Farina confirmed the positive trend in Italian boating. Both shops and refitting companies ask for more orders.

But the real good news is that this positive growth involves, above all, the world of small boats, a traditional hard core in the boating world, especially those ones with a power of 40 HP.

Excellent, for FNI, the “feeling” with Genoa Boat Show, always “the only real Italian appointment to meet the market”.

Forniture Nautiche Italiane was born in 1983 and, in order to manage its increasing growth, it built a new 5000-square-metre establishment in Cecina in 2013.

Today, FNI has a very modern computerized warehouse, where orders are exclusively managed on line and delivered throughout Italy within 24 hours. Its catalogue is boundless, with over 13,000 items in addition to Plastimo, Barton, Aqua Signal, Raritan and Gebo products, of which they’re exclusive importers in Italy.

FNI is not a dealer so its customers are only boating experts. Moreover, the company produces Sentinel, a special switch that activates the bilge pump when necessary through an advanced system of sensors.
