Grand Soleil Cup 2024, scheduled for June 21-23 in Costa Smeralda

Returning from June 21st to 23rd in Costa Smeralda is one of the most anticipated events for all sailing enthusiasts: the Grand Soleil Cup. The 2024 edition is set to reaffirm itself as a focal point for sailing enthusiasts: a moment of challenge, sharing, and conviviality that for its twenty-second edition has chosen one of the most picturesque islands in the Mediterranean, namely Sardinia. The regatta is organized by Cantiere del Pardo, which this year is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary: it is indeed this renowned Italian builder that is the father of the Grand Soleil Yachts brand, with a fleet of sailboats among the most widespread and used in the world, capable of creating a true community of owners and enthusiasts. This is also for this reason that the Grand Soleil Cup is organized every year, a sailing event that represents not only a competition but also a significant gathering for all enthusiasts of the prestigious brand.

Grand Soleil Cup 2024: the program

The Grand Soleil Cup 2024 will kick off with a special welcome on Thursday, June 20th: it will be an opportunity for all participants to gather and immerse themselves in the unique atmosphere of this year’s “home,” the iconic Yacht Club Costa Smeralda. Friday, June 21st will be dedicated to registrations, followed by the inevitable crew briefing and a refined terrace cocktail, during which owners can share their experiences and anticipate the excitement of sailing.

The Marina di Porto Cervo, whil will host the Grand Soleil Cup 2024

Saturday, June 22nd, and Sunday, June 23rd will be the highlight days of the competition: both days will be dedicated to sailing, during which Grand Soleil owners will compete in one of the world’s most famous and prestigious racecourses, testing their skills and determination. Fun is guaranteed not only for participants but also for spectators.

The program of the Grand Soleil Cup 2024 also includes an elegant and atmospheric gala dinner on Saturday, June 22nd, conceived by the Cantiere del Pardo as a moment of celebration and tribute to all participants of the regatta.

Information and Registrations

Thanks to the collaboration with the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, on the occasion of the Grand Soleil Cup, not only will all participants be able to moor in the famous and exclusive Marina di Porto Cervo from Thursday, June 20th to Monday, June 24th, but the first forty registered boats will also receive a complimentary berth.

Among the boats already registered for the Grand Soleil Cup 2024, two Grand Soleil 72 and two Grand Soleil 65 stand out, the newest models in the line over 60 feet by Franco Corazza, which the shipyard has launched onto the market in the last two years. Their presence confirms the success these two boats are achieving.

Competitors interested in participating must register by no later than June 12th, 2024, by filling out the registration form on the website www.yccs.it and sending it via email to the secretariat’s address (secretariat@yccs.it).
