The partnership with Maccaferri and Luca Rosetti

As the ideal choice for a greener and more technologically advanced future, Isofan Marine SKY Clear is the product Stoppani has supplied as a technical partner for the “Maccaferri Futura” project—an initiative by Officine Maccaferri involving renowned sailor Luca Rosetti. With Maccaferri Futura—a state-of-the-art Class 40 yacht—Luca Rosetti will take part over the next two years in some of the most challenging ocean races on the circuit. In addition, Maccaferri Futura will serve as a scientific platform for monitoring ocean health through citizen science projects and collaborations with leading academic institutions, including the University of Milano-Bicocca.

The project began in recent months with the design and construction of the Class 40 yacht by Sangiorgio Marine, a Genoa-based shipyard, and designed by Gianluca Guelfi and Fabio D’Angeli. The vessel combines cutting-edge technology, sustainable materials, and Italian craftsmanship to deliver high performance while minimizing environmental impact. Born in Bologna in 1995, Luca Rosetti is one of the most promising sailors of his generation. At the helm of the Class 40 “Maccaferri Futura”, he will compete in the most prestigious races on the Class 40 circuit, including the Rolex Fastnet Race, the Route du Rhum, the Transat Café L’Or Le Havre Normandie, and the RORC Caribbean 600. Rosetti already made history by winning the 2023 Mini Transat solo, becoming only the second Italian to achieve this feat in the race’s 47-year history. He has crossed the Atlantic Ocean twice and the Indian Ocean once, sailing over 30,000 nautical miles to date.
