It’s 08:45NJ 700 XL prua in the morning and the gates of the Nautic- Salon Nautique de Paris are still closed. It’s bloody cold but the desire to be the first to take the first shots of the NJ 700 XL is too strong for us.

When we enter – a little earlier than the official opening time when crowds of visitors are expected to join the event and pack the boats on display – the huge pavilions of the Paris Boat Show are still cold.

The stand arranged by Nuova Jolly Marine at the Nautic is a brand-new one: the exhibition area is almost twice larger and the number of boats on display is considerable.

The spotlight is on the new “creature” of the Milan-based boatyard: the NJ 700 XL.

We’ve already talked about this boat but, believe us, it is even more beautiful live than in the pictures. The outcome of an interesting co-operation between Nuova Jolly Technical Office and designer Matteo De Francesco, the NJ 700 XL is a real miracle since, despite of a length of just 7 meters, spaces are worthy of a bigger boat.

The RIB indeed features two living areas, both convertible into two huge sun pads. More specifically, the fore one is equipped with a large table which can seat 5 adults while the aft one, sheltered from the sun by a convertible awning, can be enjoyed by four guests to have a pleasant al fresco dinner.

The inner NJ 700 XL width of the boat is 2 meters – not bad if we consider that, despite a maximum length of 3.10 meters when inflated, the overall encumbrance of the NJ 700 XL drops to just 2.40 meters when tubes are deflated. This, of course, results into a greater ease of transport.

The NJ 700 XL can be fitted with one or twin outboards, with a power ranging from 150 to 300 hp.

The electric windlass is part of the standard equipment and is positioned on the bow roller.

Prince 33 Sport Cabin Full RSJust two boats ahead, we find another, amazing world première: the Prince 33 Sport Cabin. The version exhibited in Paris is the “Full RS”, with grey livery, elegant cream-coloured upholstery and exquisite “full teak” option.

Far from being just an aesthetical celebration, the Prince 33 Sport Cabin Full RS is, first of all, a highly performing boat, probably one of the best ones we’ve ever tested. Here is the feedback expressed by our journalist at the end of the sea trial carried out during the last Genoa International Boat Show:

The Prince 33 Sport Cabin is a well-designed boat that virtually lends itself to any end use.

Suitable for your summer cruises, she is perfect for daily family trips and exciting sailing experiences, too”.

Once again, Nuova Jolly Marine Technical Office and designer Matteo De Francesco have demonstrated their unquestionable abilities. The space is cleverly shaped regardless of the real size of the boat and the best evidence of this comes from the cabin of the Prince 33 Sport Cabin whose spaciousness is so surprising that the visitor inevitably ends up wonder whether he has climbed on board the right boat or a 2-meter longer one.

Furthermore, if we consider that these inner volumes not only are not perceivable from outside but look even graceful and streamlined, then we actually figure out the real season for the success of the Italian boatyard.

With these two new models, Nuova Jolly Marine definitively sets new market standards, which is a prerequisite for the development of its innovative products.
