Paraggina 10, the flagship of Giorgio Mussini’s historic shipyard, has been launched in Rapallo
With her distinctive sturdiness and lightness, the Paraggina 10 touched the water for the first time in the waters of Rapallo, where she was launched with all the due honours. Yes,because this elegant 10-meter boat, which epitomizes the unmistakable characteristics of Giorgio Mussini‘s models, is the flagship of the historic Portofino-based shipyard.
Craftsmanship and tradition, in fact, come together in the refined lines of the Paraggina 10, a model that is much appreciaterd by clients for its comfort on board, an aspect that makes it perfectly suited for long crossings, such as from Liguria to Corsica or Sardinia. In short, the Paraggina goes well beyond the concept of a day-cruiser and ensures total comfort and liveability even for cruises longer than one week.
Architect Edoardo Miola, working in close collaboration with Gaetano Mussini, has created that has been studied down to the smallest detail from both an aesthetic and functional point of view, alternating teak and mahogany, with pleasant chromatic contrasts as a result (the newly-launched unit, instead, is entirely made in solid teak, in line with its new owner’s demands).
The hull and deck are made of hand-laminated fiberglass, with a structural reinforcement cage and a forward collision bulkhead to combine agility and solidity.
The glass windscreen, with stainless steel structure and solid wood finishes, protects the helm station, In the dashboard, the basic analogue instrumentation can be supplemented by electronic navigation control devices at the owner’s discretion.
This is because the level of customization, which can also be applied to the interiors and the cockpit area, is extremely high and makes the Paraggina 10 absolutely unique: no two Paraggina yachts are the same.
Between the dashboard and the windscreen, there is an elegant folding canopy that creates shade in the middle of the boat.
Moreover, an awning, which can be installed very quickly, allows the area of shade to be extended to the aft section, where there is a large bathing beach, easily accessible through an opening with a safety hatch. At the bow, a large and comfortable sundeck, equipped with cushions and handrails, allows to sunbathe in total relax.
The deck equipment, consisting of the bollards (which may be retractable) and the ergonomically positioned bow winch, facilitate both the boat control and manoeuvring even with a small crew.
The sailing trim is excellent, otpimized by two aft flaps, which keeps the deck perfectly dry even in rough sea conditions. A bow thruster, combined with two Yanmar electronic 220/240 HP engines, facilitates all kinds of maneuvers.
The Paraggina 10 thus guarantees safe navigation (the boat is equipped with an automatic fire-fighting system and separate lighting systems) and comfort. Her strong points are undoubtedly her course stability, absence of vibrations, very low noise and remarkable performance.
Below deck, the spaces are generous and versatile. The interior cabiin, carefully furnished and embellished with elegant wood finishes, includes a double bow or central double sleeping area, a table, a kitchen unit, a fridge, a wardrobe or a chest of drawers and a large toilet with separate flass shower box.
