Riva raises the bar even higher in the superyacht segment with the introduction of the Riva 54Metri. The shipyard’s new flagship, with its length overall of 54.83 meters, is the largest vessel ever built in the brand’s history. This project marks a new milestone for Riva, reinterpreting on an unprecedented scale the stylistic language that has turned the Ferretti Group-owned brand into a global icon of luxury yachting.
Entirely built in aluminum, with a gross tonnage under 500 GT and a maximum beam of 9.18 meters, the new Riva 54Metri is the result of a collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the Strategic Product Committee, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department. The result is a superyacht that combines timeless elegance, technological innovation, and a privileged relationship with the sea.
A design that takes the Riva identity into a new dimension
The Riva 54Metri keeps the brand’s signature elements intact, reinterpreting them with monumental proportions. The sleek silhouette, sculpted surfaces, characteristic aquamarine waterline, and the color combination of Moon Grey, London Grey, and Bright Black give the yacht a refined and instantly recognizable look.
“The Riva 54Metri is not just the largest boat ever built by the shipyard; it is the expression of over 180 years of craftsmanship, innovation, and a rigorous pursuit of beauty,” stated Stassi Anastassov, Global Chief Executive Officer of Ferretti Group. “What makes Riva unique is its ability to respect its extraordinary tradition without ever becoming a slave to it. We are proud of the icons that have shaped our history, but we also have a responsibility to create the icons of the future. This yacht perfectly embodies that philosophy: it possesses the timeless elegance that has defined Riva for generations, while also setting new standards for design, technology, comfort, and the onboard experience. Every great brand must honor its past. The most prestigious brands build upon their past to create an even greater future. The Riva 54Metri is a powerful reminder that the best chapters of this exceptional story are yet to be written.”
Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta of Officina Italiana Design also emphasize how the project was developed around a balance between sportiness and elegance, with perfectly balanced volumes that give the vessel an almost sculptural character: “The Riva 54Metri is an elegant, clean yacht—a balanced mix of sportiness and refinement. It possesses a unique balance of volumes, proportions, and masses that makes it an almost sculptural object. A few recognizable features—such as the forward flow of the deckhouse and windshield, or the slanted stern cuts, echoed by the steel on the side handrails of the upper decks—build a strong identity for this yacht, immediately traceable to the Riva world. The aft beach club features an unparalleled surface area thanks to four opening hatches across two levels.”
Riva 54Metri: Open spaces and continuous connection with the sea
The entire project was developed with a clear goal: to strengthen the connection between guests and the sea through spacious, bright environments seamlessly integrated between the interior and exterior. The yacht spans four decks, connected by a central elevator, and can accommodate up to ten guests in an owner’s suite on the main deck and four guest cabins on the lower deck. The crew is accommodated in five double cabins, plus the captain’s cabin.
Among the most spectacular features is the beach area, which exceeds 60 square meters thanks to the fold-down bulwarks. A 4 x 2-meter pool, designed to remain full even while cruising, sits at the center, flanked by sunbeds and a fully equipped fitness area.
The main deck cockpit also benefits from opening side bulwarks that transform the space into authentic terraces suspended over the water, while the large, full-height glass surfaces ensure visual continuity between the interiors and the marine landscape.
Luxury interiors featuring premium materials and maximum privacy
The interior spaces focus on contemporary elegance, featuring natural teak, premium marbles like Sahara Noir and Bianco Rhino, leather, and polished steel details. The main salon houses a living area and a dining zone for ten people, enhanced by a table with a Sahara Noir top and a crystal chandelier. Located forward is the spectacular full-beam owner’s suite, complete with separate walk-in closets, a bathroom equipped with a hydromassage shower with chromotherapy, and large electrically opening windows.
Great attention was also dedicated to the organization of service spaces: crew traffic routes are completely separated from those of the guests, ensuring absolute privacy and consistently discreet service.
Beach club, sundeck, and outdoor areas exceeding 100 square meters
The exterior areas are one of the project’s main strengths. Located on the upper deck are a sky lounge with a 75-inch screen, a spacious outdoor dining area, and an innovative forward area that conceals the water toys garage with an integrated crane beneath two large movable sunbeds.
The sundeck, spanning over 100 square meters, was conceived as a true panoramic terrace overlooking the sea. It includes a jacuzzi, large sunbeds, a central lounge, a dining area for ten people protected by the hardtop, and a fully equipped American bar.
Performance, range, and technology at the highest levels
From a technical standpoint, the Riva 54Metri is equipped with two MTU 12V2000 M96L engines delivering 1,432 kW each, allowing for a top speed of 18 knots and a range of approximately 3,600 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 11 knots. Cruising comfort is managed by four Naiad Dynamics electric stabilizer fins, while power management is supported by two 118 kW Zenoro generators and an advanced Power Management system.
In terms of connectivity, the superyacht integrates Starlink satellite systems, OneWeb capability, professional firewalls for cybersecurity, and a home automation platform developed by VideoWorks, allowing control over lighting, audio-video systems, and numerous onboard functions directly via iPad. The helm station features a fully digital console with a Full ECDIS system, a 44-inch panoramic display, and touchscreen monitors dedicated to navigation management.
Riva 54Metri is a new benchmark in the Riva range
With the new 54Metri, Riva does not just build the largest yacht in its history; it redefines the very concept of the brand’s flagship. Iconic design, engineering research, top-tier materials, and an extraordinary attention to comfort converge in a project destined to represent one of the new benchmarks in the full-custom superyacht segment.
